(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Turkey introduced Falun Dafa and celebrated the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction by holding events in Istanbul and Palm City May 13-15, 2022.
At the Chinese consulate in Istanbul on May 13, they peacefully protested the ongoing 23-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa. Many passersby stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and watched practitioners demonstrate the exercises.
Practitioners set up an information booth at Beşiktaş, one of the oldest and busiest districts in Istanbul, on May 14. They clarified the truth and asked for signatures on a petition to help stop the persecution. Over 80 people signed the petition in three hours.
Deniz, a chef, said she was drawn to the peaceful and calm exercise music. “The music is very beautiful. I can feel a strong energy field,” she said.
“I just got home yesterday and encountered Falun Dafa practitioners today. I don’t think this was a coincidence.” She wanted to know more about Falun Dafa. After hearing how practitioners abide by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance but are persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Deniz signed the petition and urged her friend to sign as well.
Practitioners held a Falun Dafa exercise workshop and taught people how to fold paper lotus flowers in Palm City on May 14 and May 15.
Those who attended the exercise workshop also learned how to fold paper lotus flowers. Young children enjoyed the paper folding activity and paper lotuses. Some bought Falun Dafa books while others learned about the persecution and condemned CCP for its atrocities.

Editor’s Note: Dear readers, do you know that Falun Dafa, originally from China, is currently practiced by people in over 100 countries? But in China, since Jul. 20, 1999, Falun Gong is defamed, slandered and persecuted due to the Chinese Communist Party’s fear of Falun Gong’s rapidly growing popularity. Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology.
