[Minghui.org] Slovak Republic: Former Speaker of the National Council Asks the Chinese Regime to Stop Persecuting Practitioners Ding Yuande and Ma Ruimei

(Minghui.org) On September 8, 2023, Frantisek Miklosko, the former Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, sent a letter to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials, demanding an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners Ding Yuande and Ma Ruimei.

In his letter to Li Zaiwu, Secretary of the Rizhao Municipal Party Committee in Shandong Province, Mr. Miklosko said that his predecessor, Ms. Zhang Hui, was responsible for the illegal detention of about 70 Falun Gong practitioners in Rizhao City, Shandong Province.

Since June 13, 2023, Ding Yuande has been illegally detained in the Rizhao City Detention Center. On June 14, two Rizhao City police officers threatened Ding Yuande’s wife, Ma Ruimei, at her home. The police told Ms. Ma that her husband, Mr. Ding, was jailed because of the overseas rescue operation. On July 20, on the 24th anniversary of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, the Donggang District Police Station in Rizhao City issued an official arrest warrant for Mr. Ding.

Miklosko stressed that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong seriously violates basic human rights such as freedom of belief, which is stipulated in the Chinese Constitution. There is no legal basis for the persecution.

He said that Mr. Ding and Ms. Ma are peaceful Falun Gong practitioners who have not violated any Chinese law.

He wrote, “I urge you to immediately and unconditionally release Mr. Yuande Ding, end the persecution of the Chinese couple, and grant them travel documents to join their son in Germany.”

He requested that the letter be forwarded to Lin Wu, Provincial Party Secretary of Shandong Province, and Ms. Zhang Hui, Deputy Municipal Party Secretary of Qingdao City.

Mr. Miklosko also wrote to Vice President Josep Borrell of the European Commission, asking him to help communicate with the Chinese government to ensure that the couple is protected from further persecution. He asked vice president Borrell to write to the Chinese Ambassador in Germany to rescue the couple.

Background

Falun Gong practitioners Ding Yuande and his wife Ma Ruimei from Wulian County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province were abducted by the police at their tea farm on May 12, 2023. Ms. Ma Ruimei was released on May 24 and returned home on bail pending trial. Mr. Ding has been illegally detained since then. On July 20, the Donggang District Public Station issued an official arrest warrant. The Donggang District Procuratorate plans to prosecute him.

Their son Ding Lebin, who lives in Germany, has actively been calling on the international community to pay attention and rescue his parents.

“I used to have a bad temper and sometimes ran into conflicts with others,” he explained. He had even stopped talking with his mother and moved out of the house. “It is the Falun Gong principles that remind me to look at things from a different perspective,” he said.

(Minghui.org) Practitioners from over 30 countries attended the 2015 Falun Dafa European Experience Sharing Conference in Austria on September 20. Among them was Raymond, a Latvian barista who started practicing Falun Dafa just last October.

This 22-year-old is happy to share how Falun Gong changed him.

A Pamphlet and a Book

“It was about a year ago when I was passing by a fast-food restaurant in my hometown. Some [Falun Gong] practitioners were meditating there and one of them gave me a pamphlet,” Raymond recalled. He glanced over it and put it in his bag.

Raymond was interested in reading spiritual books at that time. Not long after meeting the practitioners, he went into a bookstore and looked around. Upon noticing a book with a golden cover, he bought it—which turned out to be Zhuan Falun. After reading several pages, he went back to the pamphlet he’d received several days earlier—sure enough, they were discussing the same thing.

Raymond visited the falundafa.org website and began to learn the exercises. He then found a local practice site and joined the other practitioners, participating in the group exercises.

Improving Mind Nature

Besides doing the exercises, Raymond spends lots of time reading Falun Gong books. “I am also trying to memorize Zhuan Falun and now I am able to recite the section titled ‘Why Doesn’t Your Gong Increase with Your Practice?’” He said this book explained everything.

Raymond said the practice of Falun Gong and Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have uplifted his mind nature, especially his relationship with family members and in his work environment.

“I used to have a bad temper and sometimes ran into conflicts with others,” he explained. He had even stopped talking with his mother and moved out of the house. “It is the Falun Gong principles that remind me to look at things from a different perspective,” he said.

Gradually, Raymond learned to treat others with respect and compassion, and with no negative feelings. He became more considerate and tried to be a better person by aligning himself with the principles of Falun Gong.

“Working as a barista is also a challenge for me,” Raymond said. “At my workplace I used to forget about being a practitioner. Memorizing Zhuan Falun keeps reminding me to act in accordance with the Falun Gong principles.”

“Right now, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance means everything to me,” he said.

Telling Others about Falun Gong

Shortly after he started doing the exercises with other practitioners, Raymond learned about the suppression in China. After reading Minghui and other websites, he decided to tell people about Falun Gong and the persecution so that the atrocity could be stopped.

“I often tell people what Falun Gong is and why we like it so much,” Raymond said. “I then explain why and how the Chinese Communist Party has banned Falun Gong, as well as the mistreatment that innocent practitioners have suffered.” After talking with Raymond, many people signed the petition calling for an end to the brutality.

Raymond said that the recent European Experience Sharing Conference in Vienna was a great experience. “I am really excited to meet so many practitioners here and do the exercises together.” He could feel the strong energy field that made him feel calm with a purer mind.

“The most important thing is, I am so grateful to Teacher for introducing Falun Gong so that people across the world can benefit from it,” said Raymond.

【明慧网二零一五年十月一日】（明慧记者唐秀明奥地利维也纳采访报道）二零一五年九月二十日，欧洲法轮大法修炼心得交流会在奥地利首都维也纳隆重召开，来自三十多个国家的欧洲法轮大法修炼者出席了这个盛会，并在法会前两天举办了一系列讲真相反迫害活动。

来到维也纳参加法会和活动的法轮功学员都很珍惜这难得相聚、互相切磋共同提高的机会，他们还欣喜地发现，欧洲的法轮大法修炼队伍里又增添了不少新学员，他们当中有些修炼时间尚不到一年，但已经很稳健地走上正法修炼大道。十一个月前第一次读到《转法轮》的瑞蒙（Raymond）就是其中一位。

瑞蒙是位咖啡师（barista），他来自东欧国家拉脱维亚，今年二十二岁。问及瑞蒙找到法轮大法的经过，这位年轻人语调沉稳地娓娓道来。“大约一年前，我在家乡城市街上一家麦当劳店附近看到有人在打坐，我接过一张他们递给我的传单，也没仔细看放进背包里就离开了。”

“那一段时间我就觉得在精神上要寻找些什么。一天，我进了一家书店，我想可能《圣经》会给我答案，我就在那翻看一本《圣经》，我想我在那里待了很长时间，恍然间，我的左眼瞥见一本金黄色（封面）的书，我立即买了一本回家了。”

“回家后我开始读这本书（《转法轮》），我马上被吸引住了，读了一会我突然意识到我听说过这个，于是我马上去翻我的背包，找出那张传单，打开一看，上面介绍的是法轮功，里面提到法轮大法的主要著作就是这本《转法轮》。”

“我马上到互联网上查询，跟着网上的法轮功教功视频学炼法轮功五套功法。然后，我给当地炼功点联系人打了电话，就去那里参加集体炼功和学法了。”

“从那以后我争取每天都炼功，并努力学法，我现在正在背诵《转法轮》，我已经背会了（第一讲的）‘炼功为什么不长功’一节了。我工作的时候常在心里背着法，这帮助我保持正念。我希望我能精進，我知道这（法轮大法）是最好的，我要尽快背诵整本《转法轮》。”

问及他从修炼法轮大法中的获益，瑞蒙表示修炼真好，让他很快就实实在在地感受到自己精神境界的提升，改善了他和家庭的关系，以及工作环境的关系。他说：

“对，我的工作是咖啡师，工作环境对我是另一个挑战，也是我修炼的机会。刚开始修炼的时候一到工作环境，我又不象一个修炼人了，但是现在因为我背法了，心里有法，我在工作的时候就提醒自己保持（用法来衡量一切）正念，遇到矛盾不能跟别人生气或者感到自己委屈，就是要时刻努力去同化真善忍。”

在广场人流中穿梭的瑞蒙把传单递给每一个和他目光相遇的人，还不时地向一些人耐心地讲真相，他谦虚地表示自己是一步步在学着讲真相。

他说：“刚开始去炼功点接触其他法轮功学员的时候，并没有人马上给我讲发正念和讲真相的事情，我也没马上问。后来我开始阅读明慧网上的信息，我才知道中共迫害法轮功，我感到震惊，我难以相信（迫害的发生）。于是我开始参加当地法轮功学员组织的活动，开始向人们发传单、讲真相。我开始讲的时候是采取正式介绍的方式，后来我意识到更要用心去讲、结合自己的经历和体会去讲。”

“今天我在这里就是想告诉人们在中国发生的迫害。我先向他们介绍法轮功是什么，解释为什么我们今天在这里，告诉他们法轮功是能够祛病健身、让人做好人的好功法，然后再提醒他们在中国发生的事实。我刚才遇到两个人，其中一个人开始表示不理解为什么让人做好人的功法会被迫害、为什么这样的修炼人会遭迫害（甚至被活摘器官），后来给他解释到中共的本质、中共也迫害其他信仰团体，然后那个人表示明白了。”

最后，说到近日在维也纳和来自欧洲三十多个国家的法轮功学员一起开展活动的体会，瑞蒙表达了自己的喜悦和感恩：“见到这么多法轮功学员在一起我感到很激动。昨天参加了长时间的集体炼功，能量场非常强，我感觉自己变得特别轻、特别清醒、特别纯净，真是太好了！”“感激慈悲的师父把法轮大法传给世界。”

A middle-aged woman said, after she learned that practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, “These are amazing principles, we should teach our children these values.”

(Minghui.org) Dafa practitioners in Bulgaria held a series of activities to introduce Falun Dafa in several cities in June 2023. They held activities in Sofia the capital city, Plovdiv the second largest city, and Varna, a city on the Black Sea. Many Bulgarians were not only interested in this mind-body cultivation practice and Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, they also expressed concern about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Practitioners held two signature collection events in Sofia and Varna on June 10, to raise awareness about the forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience conducted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in China. This was the first time practitioners held a nationwide appeal. The petition called on countries, citizens, doctors, hospitals, medical universities and businesses to not participate in the CCP’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, either directly or indirectly.

Varna is a well known tourist city in Bulgaria. Many tourists from overseas were already familiar with the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They spoke to practitioners and did not hesitate to sign the petition to call for an end to the forced organ harvesting.

In Sofia, the practitioners’ booth drew people from a variety of backgrounds. Elderly people had a good understanding of the bloody history of communist rule, and listened as practitioners talked about the persecution in China in detail. They condemned the CCP for its crimes, and said that suppression of faith, and the organ harvesting, should not be condoned. Children were drawn to the colorful array of information displayed on the table. Their parents subsequently came up to sign the petition.

We Should Teach Our Children Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Practitioners set up an information booth in Sofia on June 10, 2023. Passersby listened as practitioners talked about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution in China.

Besides expressing support for Falun Gong practitioners in China, many people also gained a deep impression of the values taught by Falun Dafa. A middle-aged woman said, after she learned that practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, “These are amazing principles, we should teach our children these values.”

A tourist from Germany stopped in his tracks and said, “I saw Falun Dafa activities in Germany in the past. I want to know more about this cultivation practice.”

A couple from England said they saw practitioners’ activities in London, and thus were familiar with the persecution in China.

A young couple were thrilled to be introduced to Falun Dafa and said they wanted to give it a try.

I Oppose the Persecution of Falun Gong in China

Practitioners held another activity in Varna on June 24, 2023 to raise awareness about the ongoing brutalities in China.

A woman was shocked to hear about the CCP’s organ harvesting atrocity. She said, “I cannot accept that this is happening! I cannot imagine how someone can do such a terrible thing!”

An elderly man’s eyes teared up when he was told that the organs of innocent Falun Gong practitioners were removed without consent while in prison. After signing the petition, he said with a shaking voice, “I must leave this place first before I start to cry.”

A woman walked up to the table and signed the petition even before practitioners could explain the situation to her. She said, “I know about this already. I oppose the persecution of Falun Gong.”

Plovdiv: Bringing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to Children and Their Parents

Plovdiv is one of the oldest cities in Europe with a history of over 6,000 years. Practitioners took part in a book reading activity at a cultural festival in the city on June 15, 2023. They shared with children and their parents the importance of following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in daily life.

Practitioners taught people to make folded paper lotus flowers at a book reading activity in Plovdiv.

A mother brought her daughter, who has an attention deficit disorder, to the Falun Dafa table. As the girl learned how to make paper lotus flowers, her mother kept reminding her to pay attention. To the woman’s delight, not only was her daughter able to make a lotus flower successfully, she even focused and listened attentively as people read stories out loud.

Bulgarians Sign Petition to Call for an End to the Persecution

Dafa practitioners from Stara Zagora and Plovdiv held an activity on the steps of Kamenitsa in downtown Plovdiv, in the afternoon of June 25.

Practitioners set up a table in a busy area in central Plovdiv to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution on June 25.

There were two petitions at the activity: one to end the CCP and the other to call on the Bulgarian government and its people to not participate in the CCP’s forced organ harvesting crimes. Many passersby signed both petitions to show their support for persecuted practitioners in China.

【明慧网二零二三年七月十二日】二零二三年六月，来自保加利亚的部分法轮功学员在首都索菲亚（Sofia）、第二大城市普罗夫迪夫（Plovdiv）和黑海首府瓦尔纳（Varna）举办了一系列讲真相活动。许多善良的保加利亚人不但对法轮大法的真善忍原则产生强烈共鸣，也对在中国遭受残酷迫害的修炼者深表同情。

六月十日，法轮功学员在索非亚和瓦尔纳举办了两场反对活摘器官的请愿活动，这是第一次由保加利亚学员发起的全国范围的请愿。该请愿书要求国家、公民、医生、医院、医科大学和公司不能直接或间接地参与活摘法轮功学员器官。

瓦尔纳是保加利亚著名的旅游城市，许多国外游客对法轮功真相已经非常熟悉，他们与学员们交谈，并欣然在请愿书上签名。

在索非亚，学员们设立的请愿台吸引了来自不同阶层、不同背景的民众。年长者对共产主义政权的血腥历史十分了解，听了法轮功学员的详细讲解，他们纷纷谴责中共的恶行，认为（迫害信仰和活摘器官）是绝对不能接受的。小孩子们被丰富多彩的真相资料吸引到展台前，他们的父母随后也在请愿书上签名。

把真善忍带给普罗夫迪夫儿童与家长

普罗夫迪夫是欧洲最古老的城市之一，有超过六千年的历史。六月十五日，学员们参加了普罗夫迪夫镇书巷文学节的读书活动，与孩子们及其家人分享遵循真、善、忍的重要性。

一位母亲带着患有注意力缺陷障碍的女儿来到展位。当女孩学做纸莲花时，母亲不断叮嘱她要集中注意力，令母亲惊喜的是，女孩不仅成功制作了莲花，在现场朗读时，女孩还抬起头来倾听录音，十分专注。

保加利亚人签名支持法轮功学员反迫害

六月二十五日下午，来自旧扎戈拉（Stara Zagora）和普罗夫迪夫的法轮功学员在普罗夫迪夫市中心的卡梅尼察（Kamenitsa）台阶上组织了一场讲真相活动。

活动中有两份请愿书：一份是终结中共（End CCP）请愿书，另一份是由保加利亚学员发起的呼吁保加利亚政府和人民不参与中共活摘器官罪行的请愿书。不少路人在两份请愿书上都签下了自己的名字，以声援中国法轮功学员。
