[Minghui.org] Brasilia, Brazil: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

We will remember them and have our families remember them, too.”

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held group exercises and introduced the practice to the public in Brasilia on May 12, 2024, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, May 13. This year marked the 25thWorld Falun Dafa Day and the 32nd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction.

Brasilia is the capital of Brazil and the country’s fourth largest city. As practitioners did the exercises in a city park, many passersby heard the Falun Dafa exercise music, saw the Falun Dafa banners, and picked up information about the practice. When they learned that the practitioners were celebrating Falun Dafa Day, they extended their congratulations. People also said that they wanted to remember Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, while some expressed their intention to come and learn the exercises.

Deuza, the owner of a nearby restaurant, and Rute, the clerk, said that they heard the exercise music and watched the peaceful movements at the site every week. “We love you from the bottom of our hearts,” they said. “The words Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance on the banner give people a good feeling and are so meaningful. Isali likes the principles of Falun Dafa.

Isali said that she liked Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She took informational materials, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and said that she would go online to learn more about Falun Dafa after she returned home. “I will come next week to learn the exercises,” she said. She also condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) atheism and suppression of practitioners.

Marilante commends Falun Dafa.

Marilante expressed her appreciation for Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said, “These principles are necessary for human beings. They are beneficial to people all over the world. We all need Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance!”

Elizabeth praised the practitioners.

Elizabeth praised the practitioners and said she was happy to witness the virtues of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance being promoted. She also wished everyone a happy Mother’s Day. She hoped that more people would heed Falun Dafa practitioners’ call for moral standards and conscience.

When they saw the banners and heard the peaceful and melodious music, some people stopped and talked to practitioners, and others took the flyers about Falun Dafa. The Chinese business people were able to see a contrast: Falun Dafa is banned and persecuted in China, but can be openly practiced abroad.

(Minghui.org) On World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2025, practitioners in São Paulo, Brazil gathered in the central zone to celebrate this special day by displaying banners, telling people about Falun Dafa, and distributing flyers. They wanted to tell people how wonderful Falun Dafa and expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution.

Practitioners held their event in Rua 25 de Março, a popular shopping area. It is a well-known commercial wholesale center in Brazil, where many Chinese import and sell goods. The whole neighborhood is busy from morning to night.

When they saw the banners and heard the peaceful and melodious music, some people stopped and talked to practitioners, and others took the flyers about Falun Dafa. The Chinese business people were able to see a contrast: Falun Dafa is banned and persecuted in China, but can be openly practiced abroad.

Some Chinese passersby held up their phones to take photos, and some took copies of Minghui Weekly to learn more. Practitioners coordinated: some handed out flyers at intersections; some held banners; some went into shopping malls to hand out flyers and Minghui Weekly to Chinese business people; and some talked to Chinese people about the facts and encouraged them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. There were also warmhearted Brazilians who came to help hold banners, and Brazilian police who stood beside the banners to maintain order.

In the afternoon, practitioners went to the famous district Liberdade, also known as Asiatown and the world’s largest Japantown. It is like a microcosm of Asia, attracting people from all over the world to come for entertainment and tourism. The practitioners’ presence helped many people learn about Falun Dafa.

They also explained the persecution of Falun Dafa in both Portuguese and Chinese. The recording described Falun Dafa as an ancient spiritual practice that is currently being persecuted in China despite being well-received in over 100 countries.

(Minghui.org) On the important and grand occasion of World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, practitioners in Sao Paulo prepared a car float and truth-clarification display boards.

The car float passed through the bustling city center while playing “Falun Dafa Is Good” and an introduction about Falun Dafa and World Falun Dafa Day. They also explained the persecution of Falun Dafa in both Portuguese and Chinese. The recording described Falun Dafa as an ancient spiritual practice that is currently being persecuted in China despite being well-received in over 100 countries.

The bright yellow “May 13th World Falun Dafa Day” and “Falun Dafa Is Good” banners and colorful balloons and ribbons on the car float caught people’s attention. Some stopped to take pictures and were handed truth-clarification materials while others danced to the music, applauded, and put their palms together in the heshi gesture of respect.

Many Chinese people were surprised to see the car float and took pictures. Practitioners distributed copies of the Minghui International magazine and clarified the truth to them. Some of them withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations with practitioners’ help.

Practitioners also gathered at Liberdade, the central, tourist neighborhood in São Paulo. They set up truth-clarification display boards, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed informational materials, and raised awareness of Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution in China. Those who were given handmade lotus flowers were amazed at how beautiful they were.

[Minghui.org] Brazil: Festive Float Raises Awareness about Falun Dafa

The float attracted the attention of many people, both Brazilians and Chinese, as it passed by. People took photos the float and some even chased after the float while taking videos. Some people listened to the information broadcast from the float and came to ask practitioners for flyers.

(Minghui.org) Brazilian Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in Sao Paulo on the last weekend before Christmas in 2020 to hold a parade. Practitioners on a float informed spectators via a loudspeaker about Falun Dafa and the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. 

With Christmas and New Year’s Eve approaching, Brazilian practitioners wish their Master a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from afar.

Sao Paulo is the largest and most populous city in Brazil. Falun Dafa practitioners decorated their float with balloons and ribbons, and hung banners with the words “Falun Dafa is Good,” and “Stop the Persecution” on the front, sides and rear of the float. The float travelled through the city center slowly while practitioners demonstrated the exercises on it, raised awareness through the sound system, and handed out flyers on the street.

Practitioners put their hearts into creating the float to share Falun Dafa with the people of Sao Paolo. 

The Falun Dafa float travelled through the city center, attracting the attention from people in vehicles and pedestrians. 

The float attracted the attention of many people, both Brazilians and Chinese, as it passed by. People took photos the float and some even chased after the float while taking videos. Some people listened to the information broadcast from the float and came to ask practitioners for flyers.

When the float passed the wholesale market that is frequented by many Chinese people, practitioners handed the Chinese who were running the stalls copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and a weekly Minghui publication. 

Brazilian Falun Dafa practitioners hope that more people throughout the world can learn about and benefit from Falun Dafa.

[Minghui.org] São Paulo, Brazil: Practitioners Invited to Introduce Falun Dafa to Students and Teachers

In addition to teaching the five sets of exercises, practitioners explained the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and how they applied them in their daily lives. The attendees were very interested and asked the practitioners to repeat these words in both Portuguese and Chinese, so that they could remember. “We need these values!” one teacher added. 

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in São Paulo were invited to introduce the practice to Guiomar Cabral Municipal Elementary and High School on June 8, 2024. The school is located at Pirituba in north São Paulo, and many students and teachers attended the event despite their busy schedules while preparing for their final exams. 

Fabio, the teacher who invited practitioners to hold the workshop, said that the attendees had a very good experience during the event. Some planned to form a meditation group afterward and continue practicing. 

Students and teachers learned Falun Dafa at Guiomar Cabral Municipal Elementary and High School on June 8, 2024.

A Story of Mind-Body Improvement

Alberto, the practitioner who organized the workshop, first shared his own experiences with the group about how the practice benefited him. 

He explained that his health was poor before he began practicing Falun Dafa. “I was seriously ill and weighed only 47 kilograms (104 pounds). I could barely stand and could only do the exercises for about three minutes,” he recalled. But Alberto did not stop. He continued doing the exercises while following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Then things changed miraculously. 

“When I changed my mindset, one day all the energy channels in me opened up, I went through tremendous changes in my body and I was totally healed by practicing Falun Dafa,” he said. He no longer needed to take any medications in the 19 years since he began practicing. By sharing his story, he hoped more people could learn about Falun Dafa and benefit as well. 

Strong Energy Field

While learning the exercises, the teachers and students said they could feel the energy in their bodies. Heitor, a chemistry teacher, asked practitioners many questions about how to do the exercises properly, such as whether he needed to focus on his breathing. He also thanked them for showing him the exercises.

Walquiria, another teacher, said she liked the exercises when practitioners came to teach the practice at the school the last time. She also went to a group practice site at Água Branca Park to continue doing the exercises. Walter, a mathematics teacher, said that he would bring his wife and son to the park so they could meditate together.

Before leaving, the practitioners recommended the book, Falun Gong, the introductory teachings of Falun Dafa. They also told the attendees they could read the book online for free. The practitioners donated a printed copy to the school’s library and three teachers also bought copies so they could continue practicing. Every attendee received flyers about the practice.
