An elderly lady said, “I feel Falun Gong is truly good. If everyone all comes to learn your practice and cultivates, the world will be a peaceful place.” She wished we could come again.

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 7 and 8, 2002, we held introduction seminars in Croatia’s port city Rijeka. Local residents interested in Falun Gong volunteered to arrange all schedules including room, printing flyers and advertisements on radio and newspapers. They even arranged a place for us to stay for free. Local radio stations broadcasted interviews of Falun Gong practitioners. We sincerely thanked these kind- hearted people.

On the way to Rijeka, we distributed flyers at the border. People were very willing to accept the information. A person who received the flyer told us that he had heard about Falun Gong from the radio program.

About thirty people attended the class. The atmosphere of the class was harmonious. People were all very open-minded and warm. After having listened to our introductory seminar and watching our exercise demonstration, they deeply felt that what we said was from our hearts. They felt the benevolence.

A gentleman said after the seminar that he had read Zhuan Falun and this time he came specifically to learn the exercises. He also said, “Your master is truly a master. Other qigong masters just teach the movement and never explain the principles. Your master teaches the highest principle of the universe. He unselfishly taught this precious knowledge. Falun Gong and your master are wonderful.”

Another gentleman said that he felt the pure truth from us and was deeply moved. An elderly lady said, “I feel Falun Gong is truly good. If everyone all comes to learn your practice and cultivates, the world will be a peaceful place.” She wished we could come again.

During the seminar, we introduced Falun Gong’s principles and showed the video Journey of Falun Dafa. We demonstrated the exercises and answer questions. We also talked about the persecution happening in China. An old lady said after our introduction, “Falun Gong is so beautiful and peaceful, it leaves a wonderful impression.” After she watched the second VCD program about the persecution, she was shocked and said that the last part of the VCD once again showed Dafa’s magnificence. People quickly understood the background of the persecution. A lady said, “Whenever a good thing occurs, it will suffer persecution. Christianity experienced the same.”

On the second day many people showed up to learn the exercises. They studied the exercises attentively. We felt very good to practice with them. They asked us when we would come again. Many people got flyers and VCDs for their friends and relatives.

The Croatian version of Falun Gong has been published. During our stay in Croatia, we met many people who expressed interest in Falun Gong. A saleswoman asked us, “What exactly is Falun Gong?” We gave her a flyer and told her that we just came to Rijeka and held a free Falun Gong class. She asked, “When are you going to hold class in Ljubljana (Slovenia’s Capital)?”

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Croatia held activities to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in the coastal cities of Rovinj and Rijeka on July 23 and 25. Tourists and local people learned about Falun Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many were appalled to hear the details of the CCP’s 23-year-long persecution. 

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and some people learned them on the spot.

Former Reporter: Live Organ Harvesting Is What a Criminal Gang Would Do

As soon as practitioners set up the booth in Rijeka some people came to sign the petition. Nikola, a retired reporter from a former Zadar radio station, said he had not heard of Falun Dafa before, but knew that China had many problems. When he learned that the CCP conducts organ harvestingfrom practitioners while they are alive, he said, “This is something only criminal gangs would do.”

Mother and Daughter Learn About Falun Dafa

Ljubica and her daughter Laura hope more people will speak out against the persecution. 

After Ljubica and her daughter Laura signed the petition they wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa. Seeing that practitioners were busy, they patiently waited.

The mother and daughter listened to a practitioner explain what practicing Falun Dafa involves for quite a while. Before leaving, they suggested that practitioners hold more activities so that even more people could learn about the issue.

In Rovinj, a mother and daughter from Germany quietly listened to a practitioner’s truth clarification in German for a long time. They said that live organ harvesting is horrible and these horrors happen in the dark and are not reported in the mainstream media. The mother and daughter sincerely wished the practitioners a successful event.

People Encourage Practitioners’ Efforts

After he signed the petition Robert from Rijeka said that he learned a lot about China through The Epoch Times. He said that it was difficult for people to know what was really happening now as few media reported the truth. He told the practitioners that The Epoch Times was a rare media that dares to tell the truth, and he often reprinted its articles on his independent media.

A girl who hurried past the booth stopped when she saw the banner that read “Stop the persecution of Falun Gong.” She told practitioners that she had been to China and witnessed how the CCP police brutally treated practitioners on the street. She said that she never signed any petitions, but she was happy to sign in support of Falun Gong.

The two-day event was from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and there was an endless stream of tourists passing by. The practitioners lit candles after 9 p.m. and sat quietly to commemorate the fellow practitioners who were brutally persecuted to death by the CCP during the past 23 years. The solemn and sacred music reverberated on the street, and people quietly read the information on the banners when they passed by the vigil.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.

It was Saturday and the weather was warm. Local residents and tourists talked with practitioners and learned about Falun Dafa and Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. 

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Croatia held activities in the capital Zagreb on October 14, 2023. They introduced Falun Dafa and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of the spiritual discipline in China, including the regime’s forced organ harvesting of persecuted Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.

Zagreb is Croatia’s largest economic and financial center. The event was held at King Tomislav Square near the city center. Falun Dafa practitioners set up a booth on the square and displayed leaflets, books, pamphlets, and other information about the persecution in China. Many people stopped and talked with practitioners and signed the petition calling to end the CCP’s persecution and the barbaric organ harvesting.

Many people were shocked when they heard the details of the persecution and that organs are harvested from practitioners while they are alive. People signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s brutality. Some residents asked where they could learn the Falun Dafa exercises, and received information about local practice sites.

Two older men strolling on the square stopped in front of the booth. When a practitioner handed them a leaflet one immediately asked, “This is from Buddhism, right? They advocate kindness and tolerance.” The practitioner briefly introduced Falun Dafa to them and explained that it is not a religion, but a method of cultivating the body and mind. 

They listened carefully and one said, “We all need more tolerance and kindness, and Eastern cultures have these virtues.” They also said that unfortunately, the world today has gone crazy and people just want to start wars. The practitioner showed them the local Falun Dafa website, which has more information. One of the men said, “You have the courage to stand up and tell people this. We only hear ugly things on TV.”

Tatjana, a Croatian, said she was drawn to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. She said she experienced a lot of pain and stress in her life and developed serious illnesses as a result. She hopes to learn Falun Dafa and asked practitioners to teach her the exercises.

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners regularly hold activities or participate in local community events to introduce the practice and to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. At these events practitioners typically demonstrate the exercises, talk about the benefits of the practice, tell people about the brutal 20-year persecution of Falun Gong in China, and collect signatures from those who wish to condemn the persecution.

The following are reports from recent events in Croatia and Norway.

Croatia: Introducing Falun Gong in Varaždin

Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Varaždin, a historic northern city, on August 24-25, 2019. Tourists from around the world attend the annual Špancirfest, a large-scale international art festival. Practitioners had a booth in the park next to the festival venue.

The Falun Gong booth was exquisitely decorated in keeping with the festival’s theme, and drew the attention of many passers-by. The centerpiece of the display was a beautiful model of the Croatian language version of Zhuan Falun, approximately 90-centimeter (35.4 inches) high, surrounded by pink lotus flowers.

Many people expressed their gratitude after receiving fliers about Falun Gong. The Falun Gong activities were close to the main roads and traffic lights, and motorists could see the banners in front of the practitioners’ booth and the Falun Gong exercise demonstration.

The two-day event began at 3:00 p.m. and lasted until 9:00 p.m. One man learned about Falun Gong the first day and returned early the following day. He waited for the practitioners and asked them to teach him the exercises. After trying the exercises, he said that he felt warm and very comfortable.

Norway: Introducing Falun Gong at the Annual Vickers Market

Practitioners from Oslo, the capital of Norway, and surrounding cities participated in the annual Vickers Market held in Holler on August 31, 2019. Practitioners set up a stand and introduced the ancient spiritual practice to the local people.

Many vendors from the surrounding towns come to sell their products at the market. Market day happened to coincide with the local elections held every four years in Norway. That day, the usually quiet town was bustling. Representatives and their staff from all the major parties were also at the market to talk to people.

After reading the Falun Gong flyer, Talia became very serious and told a practitioner, “I believe everything you said! I met a person from Xinjiang (China) and he told me what happens in China’s concentration camps.

“Just look at what the Chinese government is doing to the people of Hong Kong. It’s not difficult to imagine the CCP’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong!”

He asked for more flyers and said he would let more people know about the persecution. Before he left, he signed the petition to condemn the CCP’s atrocities.
