[Minghui.org] Guadeloupe: Practitioners Hold Truth-Clarification Activities and Introduce Falun Dafa Amid a Transatlantic Sailing Race

A passerby came to the Falun Dafa booth and expressed her interest in learning the practice. She left after practicing the first standing exercise but came back again later. She told practitioners that she felt a warm current circulating in her back, and she felt very relaxed.

(Minghui.org) A transatlantic sailing race called the Route du Rhum takes place every four years in November, with racers starting in Saint-Malo, France, and finishing in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, covering a total of 3,543 nautical miles (6,562 kilometers).

People were gathered in Pointe-à-Pitre in November to celebrate the arrival of the Route Du Rhum racers. The winner arrived on November 16, 2022, almost seven full days after setting sail from France. Exhibitions were held during the race at Place de la Victoire, Memorial ACTe, Bergevin, and other coastal districts.

Practitioners from Guadeloupe introduced Falun Dafa at the Place de la Victoire on November 11, 2022. The weather was bright and clear and many locals and tourists were strolling around. The practitioners’ booth was located in the middle of the exhibition, and many people learned about Falun Dafa. Several practitioners also distributed truth-clarification flyers on the streets.

A Chinese couple and their child passed by the Falun Dafa booth. A practitioner put his two palms together in his, and said, “Falun Dafa is good.” The Chinese lady greeted him back, smiled, and put her two palms together.

Practitioners demonstrated Falun Dafa’s five sets of exercises and drew attention to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution. A group of people learned to practice the exercises on the spot.

Practitioners also held truth-clarification activities in Basse-Terre and Rue Baudot on November 17 and 18, 2022.

One Scottish couple who came to Guadeloupe for the Route du Rhum stopped by the booth. The lady said she had heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa before, including the forced live organ harvesting.

After a practitioner clarified the truth to an eye doctor, the eye doctor stated that most of the corneas transplanted into patients are obtained from China. He is now aware of the live organ harvesting atrocities after talking to practitioners.

Firmine Richard, a French actress, told practitioners that she had heard about Falun Dafa before, and asked if the persecution was still happening.

Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and clarified the truth to many passersby in Basse-Terre during the evening activities. Information about Falun Dafa was played through speakers and continued through the night.

Practitioners were invited to participate in an activity held on Rue Raspail in Pointe-à-Pitre’s city center. They introduced Falun Dafa to passersby.

Practitioners also went to a school to teach students and teachers how to practice the Falun Dafa exercises on November 22, 2022.

Local practitioners took the opportunity of the Route de Rhum sailing race to clarify the truth and expose the CCP’s atrocities to locals and overseas tourists. Their series of activities were all well-received.

[Minghui.org] Guadeloupe, France: Introducing Falun Dafa at Community Centers and on the Beaches

During the break, practitioners told them how the practice has been brutally suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The students were surprised and disturbed to hear how practitioners have been mistreated for their belief, including having their organs harvested against their will.

(Minghui.org) Located in the Caribbean, the overseas French region of Guadeloupe has a Falun Dafa group exercise site. Practitioners often go to Roseau Beach in Capesterre-Belle-Eau to do the exercises throughout the year.

After a practitioner told staff at a local community center about Falun Dafa, the Falun Dafa Association in Guadeloupe was invited to introduce the practice at the center every Friday. Many people came to the center’s function room during the first session on November 4, 2022. One practitioner demonstrated the exercises while another corrected the attendees’ movements.

Most of those who attended were retirees, and they were very enthusiastic about improving their bodies and minds. Some said they felt warm when they did the exercises. During the break, practitioners told them how the practice has been brutally suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The students were surprised and disturbed to hear how practitioners have been mistreated for their belief, including having their organs harvested against their will.

On December 8, the community center again invited practitioners to teach the exercises at a hotel in La Sarde. Many people were very interested in learning the practice.

City officials in Guadeloupe also heard about the benefits of Falun Dafa. On “Natural and Sustainable Wellness Day,” November 20, the city of Morne-à-l’Eau invited practitioners to teach exercises on Babin Beach.

The clay of Babin Beach is well known for its therapeutic properties and attracts locals and tourists alike. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., practitioners told people about Falun Dafa and demonstrated the exercises. Some people had never heard about the practice or the ongoing suppression in China. They hoped everyone could have the freedom to practice the “beautiful exercises.”

When Morne-à-l’Eau Mayor Jean Bardail and his assistant came in the afternoon, a practitioner told them about the practice and how it is persecuted in China. The mayor seemed pleased to be given a Falun Dafa pamphlet and a copy of Minghui Weekly. He encouraged practitioners to come to the beach every day to teach people the exercises. “We have lots of people here, especially on Sundays,” he said.

Background: What is Falun Dafa and Why is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems, and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are killed to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
