At 14:00 on November 20th, 2001, 36 Westerners from 15 countries gathered in Tiananmen Square. They quietly sat cross-legged and pulled up a large banner that read “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance”. 17 seconds after displaying the banner, police came, and surrounded them quickly.
English Epoch Times editor, John Nania, was one of the 36 Falun Gong practitioners who gathered in Tiananmen Square.

The peaceful protest only lasted for a minute, but it shocked the world. Major media outlets reported on this protest.
An arduous 12 years have passed, and serious cases exposing the persecution of Falun Gong are exposed. These include torture, administrating of nerve-damaging drugs on Falun Gong practitioners and worst of all, nearly 60 – 70 thousands practitioners are killed and harvested for their organs.
According to Minghui, 43 practitioners were tortured to death during the first half of 2013. 445 practitioners were unlawfully sentenced.
