(Clearwisdom.net) Hamburg is the “greenest” city in Germany: farmland, gardens, parks, trees and forests occupy 41% of its overall area. Jungfernstieg, a busy shopping street, is situated in the center of the city. Elegant water birds, including black and white swans, add to the beauty of the area. Today, the music being played here has struck a deep chord in people.
On the afternoon of August 11, 2006, Falun Dafa exercise music was heard around Jungfernstieg. Passers-by stopped in front of the poster board exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Their sadness, anger, and shock were all written on their faces. Crowds of people surrounded the Falun Gong practitioners and listened to their explanation of the persecution taking place in China. Many people accepted truth-clarification materials. Quite a lot of people came forward to find out more.
An elderly couple told the practitioners repeatedly after learning the facts, “Keep it up. We wish you success.”
One woman said that she fully believed that all these crimes have indeed happened, and that Falun Gong practitioners’ circumstances in China are terrible. Concerned, she asked the Chinese practitioners who were explaining the facts, whether they were allowed to stay in Germany. She was relieved to find out that they were.
A young girl kept asking, “Why does the CCP do such evil things? Why is it so bad?” The practitioners told her that it was because the CCP’s nature is so evil. The girl suddenly understood.
Many more people said that they could not understand why the CCP persecutes people who are doing such a peaceful practice. The practitioners explained to them that because these are good people following Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, they are in stark contrast to the CCP’s evil nature.
A police officer on duty came over to the practitioners. When he saw practitioners practicing the exercises, he immediately made a phone call to confirm with the relevant department that we had a permit. Later, he came over to see the display board. He read it very carefully, and his expression gradually changed. At last he became very gentle and left with a little sadness.
Three Kurdish people said, after learning about the CCP’s genocide against practitioners, “The Communist Party is always like this. They do not allow people to have their own belief.”
A woman from Afghanistan said, “Those who take part in such persecution do not believe in God… they despise lives that God creates.”
A German woman told us her opinion about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong: “Of course the CCP wants to persecute it, because Dafa has brought hope to people.”
On this special afternoon, the truth-clarification event on Jungfernstieg made a deep impression on people.
