(Clearwisdom.net) The Taiwan Legislative Committee passed a resolution on December 7, denying entry of severe human rights violators. Ji Lin, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, visited Taiwan on December 13. Although Ji has been active in the persecution of Falun Gong in China, the Immigration Bureau did not withdraw his entry permit. Before he arrived in Taiwan, Ji was sued in Taiwan for crimes of genocide in the persecution of Falun Gong. On December 15, Ji Lin received lawsuit documents from Falun Gong practitioners in both Taichung and Hsinchu. He was also notified of the facts about the lawsuit.

In a light rain, prior to Ji Lin's arrival at the Fuhua Hotel in Taichung on the evening of December 14, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners held banners worded "Ji Lin, you are being sued for your crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong!" At 11 p.m., almost all of the mainland delegates entered the hotel through the front door. To avoid seeing practitioners, Ji Lin entered the hotel quietly through the side door.

On the morning of December 15, the Science and Technology Forum across the Strait and Between Beijing and Taiwan was held in Taichung. Several hundred people attended the forum. During the conference, Ji Lin received the lawsuit document handed over by a Falun Gong practitioner. In the afternoon, Ji traveled went to Hsinchu. When his car stopped at a red light, a practitioners shouted "Ji Lin, you are being sued! Stop the persecution of Falun Gong!"
At 3:30 p.m., 20 people in Ji Lin's entourage and others were ready to depart Hsinchu. A Falun Gong practitioner handed lawsuit documents to him and told him, "This is a complaint against you. You are being sued! Stop persecuting Falun Gong."
A practitioner stated, "Ji Lin actively participates in the persecution of Falun Gong. In many countries, people want to sue him for his crime of genocide. He is a human rights violator. We must call on the government to not welcome high level CCP officials who persecute Falun Gong."
Chang Yao, a member of the Taichung City Council, condemned the Administrative Department for allowing the entry of Ji Lin to Taiwan. He said, "The efficiency of the Administrative Department is low, but it cannot be an excuse for not carrying out the resolution disallowing CCP officials with a history of serious human rights violations to enter Taiwan. I hope that the Judicial Department can take quick action concerning the charges that Falun Gong practitioners have filed."
