[Minghui.org] Nepal: College Students Introduced to Falun Dafa During Event in Rampur

(Minghui.org) On June 21, 2023, International Yoga Day, a practitioner in Nepal organized an event in Rampur to introduce Falun Dafa and 20 college students attended.

Prabin Puri, an undergraduate student at Nepal’s Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), coordinated the event in collaboration with Purbeli Vidhyarthi Sangam (PVS), a student club on campus. The club members were shown all five Falun Dafa exercises and experienced for themselves their relaxing qualities.

Puri set up some informational banners about Falun Dafa to tell people about the event held at 6 a.m. at Jubilee Park. After the students arrived he showed them the Falun Dafa exercises. He alternated the exercises with an introduction about Falun Dafa, and its values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He also told attendees about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The student club members were very keen to learn the exercises. Even though some of them had morning classes, they told Puri to leave time for them to practice the exercises themselves because they wanted to experience them.

One student said that she saw “flashes of light” and felt that her “consciousness was traveling to different dimensions” when they did the fifth exercise, the sitting meditation. She also felt a “tingly” sensation on the palms of her hands.

Puri also told the attendees that they could read more about Falun Dafa in two books written by the practice’s founder, Master Li Hongzhi: Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong. At the end of the session, Puri gave everyone introductory flyers about Falun Dafa so that they could learn more about the practice on their own.

The president and secretary of the student club approached Puri after the session and mentioned that the practice was new to a majority of the attendees, and they were happy to have the attendees learn about it.

Previously, the student club secretary had helped Puri organize a webinar introducing Falun Dafa on World Mental Health Day, and is supportive of Puri’s efforts to introduce Falun Dafa to more students at AFU.
