(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities on the beach across from the Chinese Consulate in Istanbul on Sunday, June 18, 2023. They talked to people about Falun Dafa and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes it. The principles of Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, resonated with the Turkish people. It happened to be Father’s Day, and many families came to the beach to celebrate. They learned about Falun Dafa, condemned the CCP, and signed a petition calling to end the persecution.
Ms. Yasemin Topal learned the Falun Dafa exercises online. She traveled a long way to meet practitioners during the event and learn the exercises again in person. She followed a practitioner’s lead and copied every movement of the five sets of exercises repeatedly.
“I found Falun Dafa while researching online about memory enhancement. That evening, I attended a Falun Dafa exercises online class. Everything happened so fast, and I took that as a good sign,” Yasemin said. “I felt the energy flow in my body when I did the first exercise. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are principles that I emphasize. I think these three virtues really make life meaningful.”

Mehmet Hurşitağaoğlu works in the food industry. After hearing about the persecution, he signed the petition. “Awareness should be raised all over the world about the Communist Party’s crimes,” he said. “This persecution is terrible! It’s the biggest crime against humanity ever. Absolutely unacceptable!”
