Foreword
In mid-June 2001, officials at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City launched a savage attack against illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners in order to achieve “complete “reform” of all practitioners before July 20.” Witnesses described the scene as “not quite a battlefield, but terror and blood are all over the place; it’s not hell but there is torture, and screams are heard everywhere.” The guards whacked women practitioners with electric batons and military belts; they covered the practitioners’ mouths and hung them up for several days and nights with a torture called “Flying Like a Plane.” [1] The male guards sexually attacked the women practitioners; they also carried women practitioners into male cells and had the male inmates gang rape them. Later, Wanjia Forced Labor Camp announced that 15 women practitioners tried to commit suicide by hanging themselves. Three women practitioners died from torture. The authorities cremated them directly, without notifying their families. Their families protested and the guards said, “We have orders from above that [Falun Gong practitioners] who are beaten to death are counted as suicides, and their bodies are to be directly cremated without identifying the person.”
On March 5, 2002, practitioners Liu Chengjun and others in Changchun City successfully tapped into the local cable TV network and broadcast the truth clarification videos “Falun Dafa Spreads Around the World” and “Self-Immolation or Staged Event” in order to help people learn the truth and expose the brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Furious, Jiang Zemin issued an order to “kill [those responsible] without pardon.” Luo Gan went to Jilin Province to make arrangements for the persecution. About 6,000 riot police were dispatched in Changchun City, and they arrested more than 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners. At least eight practitioners were tortured to death, and 15 others were sentenced to prison terms of between four and 20 years. Practitioner Liu Haibo was taken to the Kuancheng Police Department in Changchun City, where the police officers inserted a very long electric baton into his anus and directly shocked his internal organs. He died within 24 hours of his arrest. Hou Mingkai died two days later. Police shot Liu Chengjun, the main organizer of the event, twice in his legs and tortured him on a Tiger Bench for 52 days. He died after 21 months of barbaric torture.
On August 4, 2003, during the 55th Session of the UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, a practitioner said, “In the labor camp, the guards said to women Falun Gong practitioners, ‘You say you are tolerant. If I rape you, will you tolerate that?’ They stripped the women practitioners naked in front of everyone before beating them; they pierced their nipples with metal wires; they tied several toothbrushes into a bundle and stabbed it repeatedly into a practitioner’s vagina; and they shocked the practitioners’ breasts and private parts with electric batons. At Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, 18 women practitioners were stripped naked before being pushed into a male cell. Before she was sent to the forced labor camp, those in charge aborted the fetus of a practitioner who was seven months pregnant. The barbaric persecution occurs every day in China.”
In early March 2006, a source revealed that more than 6,000 practitioners had been held at the secret Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and more practitioners were being transferred there from prisons and labor camps in the three northeastern provinces and from central China. The CCP assigned many doctors to remove practitioners’ organs while they were still alive. Three quarters of the practitioners held at the concentration camp already had their hearts, kidneys, corneas, and skin removed before they were cremated in the on-site crematorium, so no evidence has been left behind. The CCP issued secret orders “to annihilate them physically;” “it’s nothing to beat [Falun Gong practitioners] to death as it will be counted as suicide;” “do not identify [Falun Gong practitioners'] bodies and cremate them directly,” which was actually “good for business” since Falun Gong practitioners’ organs are important merchandise on the international black market for organ transplants. Because practitioners are witnesses to the atrocities of the CCP’s red terror regime, the CCP not only kills them to destroy evidence but also makes money from the their body parts!
All of these incomparably gruesome crimes that exceed the scope of people’s imaginations are now taking place in China. State mandated terrorism and genocidal policies are in place against innocent Falun Gong practitioners who follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
In the more than half a century since the CCP usurped power, the evil specter of state terrorism has ravaged China and visited countless disasters upon the Chinese people. In July 1999, former dictator Jiang Zemin and the CCP colluded to launch the unprecedented genocidal persecution against Falun Gong, using government machinery in the name of the state and political struggle. State terrorism reached its extreme. Under the policies “Ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and annihilate them physically” and “100% reform and don’t let a single one slip through,” the CCP’s physical and mental persecution against Falun Gong practitioners defies description.
In an effort to escape justice, the CCP tries to cover up its crimes through political pressure and lies. This article exposes only the tip of the iceberg. Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China who have broken through the CCP’s information blockade, oftentimes risking their lives, have provided the information.
1. The Characteristics of State Terrorism Exhibited by the CCP’s Persecution of Falun Gong
In a United Nations’ progress report, Special Rapporteur Ms. Kalliopi Koufa stated, “There are different manifestations of terrorism used by the State…[one of which] is the so-called ‘regime’ or ‘government’ terror, that is, the traditional type or form of State terrorism, which is conducted by the organs of the State against its own population… in order to preserve a given regime….” The CCP has accumulated systemic and efficient experiences in torturing, damaging, and killing people through its numerous political movements. During its long-term high-pressure reign, the CCP has exercised and furthered its propensity for brutality and lies to such an extent that it is now the most barbaric and evil state in the world. All of its evil elements have been brought into play during the unprecedented persecution of Falun Gong.
Dictator Jiang Zemin started this persecution out of jealousy and obsession with power. He utilized the CCP principle “all of the Party obeys the CCP Central Committee” to engage all of the government machinery in the persecution: his mouthpiece media was used to spread lies to defame Falun Gong; the National Security Bureau collected “information” and spread slander about Falun Gong; the military and police directly intercepted and arrested Falun Gong practitioners; the courts and the judicial and legal system played hardball by falsely convicting practitioners; the National People’s Congress and the judicial system legitimized the persecution with their stamp of approval; the diplomatic system continues to spread slander in the international community; and the CCP has enticed and silenced foreign governments, politicians, and media with political and financial interest.
In July 1999, Jiang Zemin said during a CCP Central Committee meeting to arrange for the persecution of Falun Gong, “I just don’t believe the CCP can’t defeat Falun Gong.” He issued the policy, “Ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially and annihilate them physically” and set up a deadline for “Falun Gong to be eradicated within three months.” A bloody persecution was thus initiated.
1.1 Genocide Nerve Center: the 610 Office System
The CCP controlled and administered the genocide through the 610 Office–the persecution’s “Nerve Center.”
On June 10, 1999, with direct orders from Jiang Zemin, the CCP officially established the “Leadership Team Office on the Issue of Falun Gong” headed by Li Lanqing and Luo Gan. The 610 Office operates above state laws and the government. It’s the highest level of power in the persecution of Falun Gong. With branch offices on every level of the government, down to the village, the 610 Office is similar to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo and specializes in planning, organizing and administering the systematic persecution of Falun Gong. It’s function is to “direct and coordinate the Public Security Bureau, the procurator, legislators, courts, and security departments to detect, arrest, prosecute, and investigate all activities concerning Falun Gong” to promote and carry out Jiang Zemin’s personal will and goal of the CCP to eradicate Falun Gong.
There is no legal justification for the existence of the 610 Office. It is a rogue agency established under the orders of former dictator Jiang Zemin. Most of its orders are issued orally and those who receive the orders are forbidden to videotape or audio record them. They are not even permitted to write them down. The CCP has always used this tactic in its past political movements. 610 Offices on various levels are authorized to act outside the law. 610 Office agents can break into civil residences at any time without a warrant; they can ransack homes, body-search, and arrest without following any legal procedure; they can sentence people to prison and forced labor without any judicial process; and they don’t take any responsibility for using torture, because “[Falun Gong practitioners] who are beaten to death are counted as suicides, and their bodies are to be directly cremated without identifying the person.” The 610 Office is a typical terrorist organization.
610 Office head Luo Gan is the number one villain in the persecution of Falun Gong. He has played a major role in planning, arranging, and directing the persecution. Between 2001 and 2003, Luo Gan gave at least eight public speeches and ordered the judicial and legal system to regard Falun Gong as a top target and to strike hard on Falun Gong. He went to Weifang City, Wuhan City, Nanchang City, Changchun City, Anhui Province, Liaoning Province, Jiaozuo City in Henan Province, Shenyang City, and Jixi City in Heilongjiang Province to promote the persecution. The persecution escalated wherever he went, with the number of local arrests, incidents of torture, and murders of Falun Gong practitioners increasing dramatically around the time of his visit.
In early September 2001, after being subjected to intense pressure from the international community, the Chinese judicial system ordered the release of illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners, especially those who were being held beyond their terms. The 610 Office run by Luo Gan, however, issued a secret order to all levels of the judicial system: “Whoever is found to be practicing Falun Gong will be secretly arrested and sentenced to a life sentence until death. Police officers that do not arrest Falun Gong practitioners will be discharged from public service and their permanent residency registrations will be revoked.”
In 2001, officials at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp used mind-boggling tortures on determined Falun Gong practitioners, including stripping naked 18 women practitioners and throwing them into a male cell. The central 610 Office issued major awards to the top officials at the Masanjia Camp and promoted their “advanced experience” nationwide.
In April 2002, Luo Gan went to Heilongjiang Province and ordered the local authorities to arrest 6,000 practitioners within three months. He also dictated that 2,000 practitioners should be arrested in each of the months of April, May, and June and said that the police “could ignore murderers, arsonists and other types of criminals and focus on arresting Falun Gong practitioners.”
In a series of documents that were later made public, the 610 Office required the local authorities to “conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the number of people who didn’t ‘reform.’” “Absolutely do not spare a single person who has not ‘reformed’ even if he practices at home. Send these people to legal centers in groups and at different times for brainwashing.” All of these directives clearly reveal the CCP and Jiang’s intention to eradicate all Falun Gong practitioners.
Many documents show that the secret orders issued by Jiang Zemin through the 610 Office drove lawless officials to employ violence as the main method to “reform” Falun Gong practitioners, including extreme torture, sexual abuse, and sometimes murder.
1.2 Omnipresent and All-inclusive Genocidal Persecution
“Ruin their reputations:”
The CCP made up various lies about Falun Gong and used them to brainwash the Chinese public. The lies were repeatedly broadcast on TV and radio and printed in newspapers and magazines throughout the country. They brainwashed people and incited hatred so that the bloody persecution could be carried out without any resistance.
The CCP launched more than 3,000 TV, radio, newspaper, and magazine stories throughout the country in an all-out propaganda campaign of slander against Falun Gong. In 1999, CCTV broadcast various Falun Gong-slandering programs for seven hours each day. The programs included a TV show “The Story of Li Hongzhi” filled with lies and excerpts of altered words attributed to the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi The CCTV fabricated incidents of 1,400 deaths, which it claimed were the result of practitioner patients refusing medical treatment as well as fabricated murders and suicides. The CCP did everything possible to demonize Falun Gong and its founder through slander and libel, and they even exported these lies to foreign countries. According to an incomplete estimate, within six months after July 1999, the CCP published more than 300,000 articles that slandered and attacked Falun Gong through its media outlets both inside and outside of China.
The International Education Development (IED) Committee made an official statement at the United Nations on August 14, 2001: “The government, in exercising its right to reply, attempted to justify its state terrorism against the group by calling it an ‘evil cult’ that has caused deaths and the break-up of families. In our investigation, the only deaths have been at the hands of the Chinese authorities; families have been broken up because family members have been killed by the regime; people have been broken down, not by Falun Gong, but by extreme torture, incarceration in mental hospitals with brutal treatment, hard labor in labor camps, and other such practices. As was reported in the International Herald Tribune on August 6, 2001, the regime admits that it has officially sanctioned violence against practitioners in order to wipe out Falun Gong. The regime points to a supposed self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square on January 23, 2001, as proof to slander Falun Gong. However, we have obtained a video of that incident that, in our view, proves that this event was staged by the government. We have copies of that video available for distribution.”
Those who spread lies fear the truth. As it disseminated slander, the CCP also did everything possible to conceal the truth about Falun Gong. The CCP destroyed Falun Gong books and materials, and it removed any report that told the truth about Falun Gong through any media under its control, both inside and outside of China. The CCP has blocked all legal channels through which Falun Gong practitioners can appeal, and the CCP has ruthlessly retaliated against Falun Gong practitioners who have transmitted the truth about the persecution to the international community.
At Tsinghua University alone, more than 10 faculty members and students were sentenced to heavy prison terms for delivering truth-clarifying documents. After the rape of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wei Xingyan, a graduate student at Chongqing University, seven practitioners in Chongqing City were sentenced to heavy prison terms. Practitioner Ji Songshan was beaten to death within five hours after his arrest by 610 Office agents because he sent abroad a picture and information about Wu Lingxia, a practitioner from Shuangyashan City who was tortured to death. Another three practitioners were sentenced to heavy prison terms, one of them was beaten until his spine was broken, and another practitioner was on the brink of death from torture.
Ms. Wu Lingxia was arrested and sent to Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured until she developed cirrhosis of the liver and gangrene in both legs
The CCP blocked the truth and repeated lies again and again through the state media, fostering misunderstanding and hatred toward Falun Gong. Innocent people then become the victims of brainwashing as they are turned into accomplices for the persecution. The CCP has blocked information and manipulated the media, effectively subjecting the entire population to brainwashing, filling their minds with lies and hatred.
“Bankrupt them financially”
The CCP manipulated the entire government to help carry out this part of the persecution policy. Since July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners have often been bilked of funds ranging from thousands to tens of thousands of yuan. Local governments, work units, and the police impose these “fines” without any legal justification. For example, Song Xiaobin, the secretary of the Politics and Law Committee; Chai Yuqiao, the head of the Comprehensive Security Committee, and other perpetrators in Dongchengfang Town, Zhuozhou City, have formed a habit of extorting, or what they call “fining” Falun Gong practitioners. They publicly claimed, “If you continue to practice Falun Gong, we’ll fine you until you are totally broke!” On November 26, 2005, they extorted 3,000 yuan from each of five practitioners, including rape victims Liu Jizhi and Han Yuzhi. Three thousand yuan is the annual household income of a farmer’s family in Dongchengfang Town.
Home ransacking is another commonly used means of robbery and threat. Lawless officials ransack practitioners’ homes any time they want. They take personal belongings and, in the countryside, the practitioners’ daily living necessities, including their food. They confiscate practitioners’ private business assets and freeze their bank accounts. They never issue any receipts for the confiscated items and neither do they return them. Most of these items become the persecutors’ ill-gotten private possessions.
At the same time, practitioners also face lay-offs, being fired from their jobs, being expelled from school, confiscation of their land, suspension or reduction of their pension, and eviction from government-owned housing. Even their children face difficulty receiving an education and getting a job. Their relatives are forced to resign early, so the practitioners lose their source of income and support.
“Annihilate them physically”
This part of the policy is carried out mainly in prisons, forced labor camps, shelters run by the local Civil Administration Bureau, detention centers run by the police departments, custody centers, drug rehabilitation centers, emergency centers, and brainwashing centers that are set up all over the country, as well as secret death camps. A large amount of evidence shows that brutal tortures are used in all of these facilities, without exception. More than 100 forms of torture from the history of mankind’s arsenal, including drugs and poison, have been used to brutalize Falun Gong practitioners.
According to an investigative report by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), brainwashing centers are located throughout the country and are run by provincial and city governments, the CCP committees at the county and town level, important government agencies, schools, and state-run enterprises. They are quite numerous. No legal procedure is required to establish a brainwashing center, which is not monitored by any institution. Officials that work at these centers can abduct, arrest, and detain any practitioner long-term to brainwash him or her. They are not administrators of law but they can exercise powers outside the law, as they are not held responsible in any way after beating a Falun Gong practitioner to death. These “Houses of Horror” euphemistically call themselves such things as “Legal Education School,” “Education and Reform Study Class,” and “Center for Care and Love.”
The CCP and Jiang’s group even sank their talons into the families of Falun Gong practitioners. They have often succeeded in wrenching the human nature of the practitioners’ family members and turning them into prison wardens. They have turned happy family settings into prisons.
Early on the morning of February 9, 2002, a horrific murder took place on Beimen Street, Baoding City, Hebei Province. Thirty-four-year-old Ms. Yang Lirong was killed by her husband. Their child was 10 years old.
Ms. Yang went to Beijing to appeal in October 1999. She told the government how she had benefited physically and mentally from Dafa practice. She was arrested and detained, but the police released her after extorting 5,000 yuan from her family. Afterwards, the police constantly harassed her at home and sent her to a brainwashing center three times. They frequently extorted money from her family. Her husband was a driver at the local measurement bureau. He feared losing his job and source of income for the family. A happy family was completely ruined.
In the evening on February 8, 2002, the police again ransacked Ms. Yang Lirong’s home. Her husband could no longer take it and went insane. He strangled his wife to death. Her husband regretted it after he realized what he had done, and he immediately turned himself in to the police. The police and the coroner arrived at the scene and removed many of Yang Lirong’s organs. Her body was still warm and blood gushed out as her organs were cut out. The police said, “This is not dissecting a cadaver; this is dissecting a live person!”
In a single village–Xiaoluo Village in Chongyang Town, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province–two practitioners, 73-year-old Fang Guiming and 63-year-old Wang Xiuyun, were murdered by their families.
The most horrific of all is a secret concentration camp in Sujiatun, Shenyang City. On March 8, 2006, the existence of the Sujiatun death camp was exposed even as many practitioners were being killed there. At one time in around 2001, about 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give up their belief were transferred to Sujiatun from the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and Dabei Prison. About three quarters of them had their hearts, kidneys, corneas, and skin removed before they were burned in a crematorium, so there is no physical evidence of these atrocities. Many more practitioners were transferred there from northeast and central China.
According to related investigative reports by the WOIPFG, this secret concentration camp, located below the Liaoning Thrombosis Treatment Center of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in Sujiatun, Shenyang City, was formerly a fallout shelter and has been in operation since 2001. The number of organ extractions from living practitioners peaked in 2002. Many Falun Gong practitioners were held there without any legal procedures, and their organs were removed before their bodies were burned. A witness revealed that the organ removals were all performed on living, breathing individuals, and the scene was “wretched.” Due to the extreme brutality of the process, many medical personnel who took part developed mental problems, and some committed suicide. When confronted by queries from abroad, an official from the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau responded, “If it’s true, so what? What can Falun Gong do?”
When faced with outrage from around the world, the CCP transferred Falun Gong practitioners from regular prisons to the secret concentration camps in order to make it look like practitioners were no longer being incarcerated in order to deceive the world. At the same time, the CCP systematically killed the practitioners to destroy the evidence.
Since the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, many practitioners throughout China have been reported missing. It is presumed that the Sujiatun Concentration Camp is not the only one of its kind in China. An October 1, 2000, report by Agence France Presse (AFP) told of two concentration camps having been recently built, both specifically for Falun Gong detainees, each one capable of holding at least 50,000 practitioners. The CCP ships the practitioners who refuse to give their names and addresses (so people related to them will not be persecuted) to a concentration camp in Xinjiang Province on freight trains. No one has yet been released from the camp. A total of some 36 similar camps exist throughout China, says the witness, a veteran medical doctor who has served in the Shenyang Military Region. Falun Gong practitioners are sent to the camps when “occasion calls for it,” with the three largest camps being in the northern provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. The fifth-largest camp, located in the Jiutai District of Jilin, holds as many as 14,000-plus practitioners at a time. The largest camp, code name “672-S,” is said to hold over 120,000 people, among whom are Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.
Up until March 17, 2006, after breaking through numerous information blockades, the Minghui/Clearwisdom website was able to verify that more than 2,844 Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death, while more than 1,200 deaths have yet to be confirmed. Many practitioners disappeared after arrest. Only a minute portion of the persecution has been exposed.
Cases of death-by-torture of practitioners have occurred in more than 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. About 55% of the victims were women; some 59% were over 50 years of age. They came from all walks of life and were savagely mistreated only because they didn’t want to give up Falun Dafa, from which they benefited physically and mentally. Some were tortured to death, some died after being injected with poisonous drugs, some were tossed from high-rise buildings, some were killed by cars, some were burned to death, some were dragged to death behind motorcycles, and some had their organs removed while they were alive and their bodies burned, and some were tortured to the brink of death and passed away soon after being released.
Mental torture:
The primary goal of the CCP and Jiang’s regime’s genocidal policies against Falun Gong is to deprive practitioners of their righteous belief and conscience and to murder their spirit. The authorities drive the practitioners to mental disorder through specially designed mental and physical torture in order to “reform” them. The standard for “reform” is for the reformed practitioner to lie, attack and blaspheme Falun Gong and its founder; and betray and beat other practitioners in order to prove one has completely denounced Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. Otherwise one is still considered to have compassion and thus not completely broken away from Falun Gong, in which case the person is further tortured until he collapses. Kong Fanyun, head of the Education Section of the Hebei Province Capital Legal Education Center, said in public, “You are considered completely ‘reformed’ if we see you beat and swear at people.”
Zhang Xiaojie, wife of Lin Chengtao, a researcher of the Basic Science Institute of the Beijing Union Medical College, used to be a Falun Gong practitioner and a kind person. She was tortured and brainwashed with lies at Tiantanghe Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. She changed into a cruel and selfish “collaborator.” At the labor camp she beat her former friend and coerced her to give up her belief in Dafa. She also wrote a letter to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp officials where her husband, Lin Chengtao, was held. She suggested in the letter that the guards use electric batons, sleep deprivation, and other forms of torture to “reform” her husband. Lin Chengtao persevered through savage physical torture, but the betrayal of his wife, who had turned into a monster, was the last straw. He suffered a mental collapse.
Ms. Dong Cui, a practitioner from Shunyi, was held in the Beijing Women’s Prison. She wrote a statement to attack Falun Dafa because she could no longer endure the torture. Tian Fengqing, a division head, thought that Ms. Dong had not completely “reformed.” She ordered guards Xi Xuehui and Dong Xiaoqing to lead collaborators Li Xiaobing and Li Xiaomei to beat Ms. Dong to death. The beating resulted in a hole in Ms. Dong Cui’s head and numerous wounds on her body. Her flesh was separated from the bone. Those who used to follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearance had become accomplices in killing their fellow practitioners!
This is the so-called “reform through education, love and rescue.” This “reform” has turned angels into devils. For anyone with any dignity, the CCP-instigated “reform” means spiritual death, which is worse than physical death. The spiritual destruction of Falun Gong practitioners is therefore more brutal and sinister than physical destruction. In fact, the so-called “100% reform rate” pursued by the CCP is forcing the practitioner to choose between renouncing his or her belief and enduring ever-escalating persecution. For a determined practitioner, giving up his belief means spiritual death, while enduring the persecution could lead to physical death. From any perspective, the CCP and Jiang’s group are systematically attempting to annihilate Falun Gong.
1.3 Terrorist-style Persecution of All People
Although torture, brainwashing, and murder are mainly used on Falun Gong practitioners, the CCP has brainwashed the entire population with earth-covering lies and hate propaganda to deceive people and incite hatred among them, all in the name of “maintaining social stability.” The CCP has also connected Falun Gong practitioners with the promotion of their superiors at work and the local officials in order to force everyone to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP and the Jiang regime has transformed a persecution against a mainstream group into a persecution of all Chinese people.
Hang Guangsheng, the former head of the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau in Liaoning Province, said that if three or more practitioners from Shenyang City go to Beijing to appeal, the deputy secretary of the Shenyang City Party Committee and even the secretary would have to go to the provincial government and engage in self-criticism. To keep their posts and to “save face,” the city officials use a large portion of its police manpower and financial resources to intercept practitioners who go to Beijing to appeal. The head of one town government was removed from his post because one practitioner from his town went repeatedly to Beijing to appeal.
Many schools force students to sign their names in support of blaspheming Falun Gong, or they are expelled from school. Work units force employees to sign anti-Falun Gong announcements, or they are fired or lose their pensions. Also, police officers who refuse to carry out orders from the 610 Office lose their salaries, homes and even their jobs.
As the CCP forces Falun Gong practitioners to betray Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and their consciences, as it has turned good people into monsters, its use of terror and high pressure tactics is also destroying the conscience of the Chinese people, whose interests are now only practical gain. Many people chose to shut down their rational thinking, avoid the truth, and remain silent in order to live and to protect their self-interests. They “comfortably” ignore the abuse and murder, saying, “I’m not getting involved in politics.” They also step over the line of conscience by expressing support for the persecution, and some even participate in the persecution. The CCP’s persecution of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is a spiritual persecution against all people. That persecution murders the goodness in human nature as well as conscience. The spiritual destruction is even more horrific and evil than physical destruction. The CCP suppresses Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and supports lies, malice, violence, and corruption. The CCP is dragging the Chinese people into an unprecedented disaster.
[1] Flying Like a Plane: The practitioner’s hands are twisted behind his back and tightly tied. The rope that ties the hands together is thrown over the crossbeam of a bunk bed, so that the practitioner’s feet can barely touch the ground and all of his weight is on the wrists. His clothes are pulled up to cover his head. The police then use electric batons to shock his armpits, each shock causing a spasm and severe pain. Once a spot on the body is burned and numbed by the electric shock, they then switch to another place and continue the electric shocks until the practitioner loses consciousness. By the time they are released from the hanging position, many practitioners’ arms are broken.
