[Minghui.org] Jiang Zemin’s Crimes Will Not Be Forgotten with His Death

Despite the huge benefits of Falun Gong, its ever-growing popularity triggered Jiang’s jealousy, and he would not allow anyone or any group to draw huge crowds away from the communist ideology.

(Minghui.org) Jiang Zemin has died, but his crimes will not be forgotten by his victims or by history. After becoming the top leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for his active role in the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989, he corrupted the entire country, with almost all CCP officials guilty of taking bribes, which resulted in catastrophic moral decline and subsequent social issues.

One example of Jiang’s harming society was his persecution of Falun Gong. Introduced to the public in 1992, Falun Gong is a meditation system based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. By 1999, there were about 100 million Falun Gong practitioners in China from all walks of life. As practitioners strove to live by those principles, they became better citizens in their respective professions, such as merchants who were honest, doctors who refused to accept bribes from patients, engineers who worked diligently without complaining about workload, and officials who no longer took bribes. The improvement of so many practitioners’ character has benefitted society as a whole tremendously.

Despite the huge benefits of Falun Gong, its ever-growing popularity triggered Jiang’s jealousy, and he would not allow anyone or any group to draw huge crowds away from the communist ideology.

He launched a nationwide campaign to target Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, plunging the country into another havoc like the Cultural Revolution. A large number of practitioners have since been arrested, detained, subjected to various forms of torture (such as beatings, electric shocks, sexual assault, and involuntary drug administration), and even had their organs harvested for refusing to give up their belief. Many practitioners have been tortured to death, maimed, or driven insane.

According to information compiled by the Minghui.org website, over 4,000 deaths of practitioners have been confirmed and documented. Due to censorship and the information blockade, the actual severity of the persecution could be much worse than what Minghui has been able to verify and document.

When Jiang started the persecution in 1999, he issued an order to “Defame their [practitioners’] reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically!” The social and moral impact of the persecution has been astronomical, and the victims are not limited to just practitioners themselves. Their families have also suffered tremendously, as the authorities often threatened them with loss of jobs, deprivation of education, and detention of their loved ones. The perpetrators were rewarded for persecuting innocent practitioners, and the Procuratorate and court systems have become rubber stamps to indict and sentence practitioners.

As the general public has been brainwashed to turn against practitioners who live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, morality continues to decline in China. Counterfeit goods, poisonous food, and mafia activities have become commonplace. There have recently been many cases of young people gone missing. Given the large-scale forced organ harvesting against Falun Gong practitioners, these young people could have also become victims of organ harvesting.

Despite the ongoing brutal persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have remained peaceful and there has not been a single case of violence committed by practitioners. Instead, they patiently tell their perpetrators and ordinary citizens what Falun Gong is, while clarifying the CCP’s defamatory propaganda about them. In the meantime, they kindly urge the perpetrators to stop doing evil since that will do no good for them and their families. Furthermore, Falun Gong is well received in more than 100 countries and it is suppressed only in communist China. This all indicates that Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong has caused endless problems in China, which will likely continue unless the suppression comes to an end.

Jiang has died but the CCP continues its suppression of people, including Falun Gong practitioners, other faith groups, and average citizens who have been subjected to military-style lockdowns during the past three years. We hope more Chinese people will join the trend of quitting the CCP organizations. We’d also like to see more support from the international community in helping to end the persecution and disintegrate the CCP, for a better future.

江泽民打压迫害教人向善的法轮功，不仅给法轮功修炼者和他们的家人造成难以弥补的伤害，而且对社会道德造成巨大的戕害。

【明慧网二零二二年十二月一日】江泽民死了，但是他的罪恶不会被民众遗忘，不会被历史遗忘。

江泽民在六四屠杀后上台，以贪腐治国，造成中国无官不贪，导致社会道德沦丧。中国社会至今仍承担其造成的恶果。

法轮功于一九九二年传出，教人重德修心，凡事为他人着想，以真善忍要求自己，这对任何社会都是有益的。到一九九九年，在中国和世界各地已经有数千万的民众修炼法轮功，遍及社会各阶层。修炼法轮功后，人们不仅获得身体的健康，更重要的是道德的升华。当官的廉洁奉公，经商的诚实守信，医生不收红包，工程师兢兢业业……这对提升社会的道德有巨大的益处。

法轮功的广受欢迎却引起了当时的中共头目江泽民的妒嫉，认为法轮功在和共产党争夺群众，在一九九九年七月二十日发动了对法轮功的迫害，当时的疯狂如同文革再现，如今这场迫害已经历时逾二十三年。这场迫害造成至少4876位法轮功学员被迫害致死，难以计数的人被非法劳教、判刑，或者被绑架到洗脑班折磨。被非法监禁的法轮功学员被强迫违心表态放弃自己的信仰，坚强不屈的法轮功学员则被以各种凶残的酷刑折磨，很多人被折磨致残致死。这些罪恶都是江泽民发动的血腥迫害造成，大量的迫害案例已经被明慧网记录在案，更多的迫害案例由于中共的信息封锁而没有报道出来。

江泽民打压迫害教人向善的法轮功，不仅给法轮功修炼者和他们的家人造成难以弥补的伤害，而且对社会道德造成巨大的戕害。与迫害法轮功同时发生的是，中共官员的贪腐越演越烈，迫害法轮功的公检法司形同黑社会，假货和有毒食品泛滥，很多中国人都成为受害者。中共活摘法轮功学员器官牟利，如今很多青少年失踪，有些人也可能成为活摘器官的受害者。

过去二十三年多的历史可以见证，法轮功是一个极其和平善良的群体，在中国，尽管法轮功修炼者遭到残忍的迫害，可是没有发生一起法轮功学员暴力报复迫害者的案例，相反他们对参与迫害的人慈悲劝善，让他们不要害人害己。在世界各民主国家，法轮功团体经常参加社区活动并受到欢迎。在同为中华文化的台湾，法轮功更受到社会各界的欢迎。这一切都说明，迫害法轮功的中共和江泽民一伙才是中国各种问题的制造者。

如今恶贯满盈的江泽民已死，但是中共对法轮功的迫害仍然持续。我们在痛斥江泽民的同时，也会继续我们制止迫害的努力，也希望社会各界尤其是中国人民和我们一起制止迫害，解体中共，给中国带来一个美好的未来。

I am appealing for support from all compassionate people, to urgently help rescue the Chinese Falun Gong practitioners suffering cruel persecution like my husband, and I am calling on the voice of justice from all organizations of justice and all people of justice, to stop the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

(Clearwisdom.net) I remember a proverb, “Happy families are all alike, but unfortunate families all have different misfortunes.” But what I am going to say now is “My family is suffering the same misfortune as tens of thousands of Chinese families.”

One day in July, my roommate, with unusually solemn looks, gave me some printed news downloaded from the Internet. I was shocked just reading the title “Chen Chengyong, Falun Dafa practitioner forced to become destitute, is persecuted to death,” — because Chen Chengyong is my husband! I dared not to trust my eyes. After wiping my eyes, I read it again. It was real! Such grievous news made me quiver all over. I was feeling faint and dizzy as if everything was spinning around, and couldn’t get myself under control… For a long time, my roommate consoled me as her tears fell, and gently held me with her hands at the bed of my daughter who bears a strong resemblance to her dad. Looking through tears at my fifteen-month old baby who had lost her father, I felt my heart had been torn apart, and my body kept shaking.

While immersed in grief, the following misfortunes struck me further. My sister-in-law (also a Falun Gong practitioner) was abducted into a brainwashing class (created by Jiang’s regime, for the illegal detention of Falun Gong practitioners) when she went to identify my husband’s body. The perpetrators tried to force her to renounce practicing Falun Gong, but she sternly refused because she believed in the principles of Falun Dafa, “Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance,” and insisted on the freedom of belief as a basic human right. But the police, being blinded by lust for gain, not only had no pity on her brother who just passed away, but in August they also illegally sentenced her to two years in a forced labor camp. My father-in-law couldn’t take the sorrow of losing his young son and the instant imprisonment of his beloved daughter. In September the elderly man passed away from grieving. Being hit by these tragedies one after another, I was plunged into tremendous sadness.

I am frightened by the terror of knowing that within only two months, two of these three family members died tragic deaths, and the other was imprisoned. I don’t have the courage to get my husband’s remains back from China, where the authorities are placing the Falun Gong practitioners in a hell on earth. I regret that I complied with my husband’s decision not come to join me in Australia when I was going back to live in the hometown where I was born. Jiang XX now has made the country, with such a long history and ancient civilization, into a state of terrorism. In which direction is China going? I am lost. In my native country, why is the ruling regime so inhuman to the Falun Gong practitioners’ adherence to following “Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance?” I remain puzzled despite much thought.

My father-in-law had been a critically ill patient diagnosed with uremia, a fatal disease incurable by both modern and traditional Chinese medicine. He had spent a lot of money on medical fees in his quest to become well. Miraculously, his disease disappeared after practicing Falun Gong, giving him a second life. The miracle produced wide repercussions in the neighborhood and in the paper plant where he used to work. It attracted many people to join the practice of Falun Gong. But on July 20, 1999, Jiang XX started to persecute Falun Gong. The old man told the police, “If I were to stop practicing Falun Gong, I would die.” The cops replied, “We know Falun Gong saved your life. But since it is the order from the top to outlaw Falun Gong, we have no alternative but to follow the instruction.” Falun Gong brought the old man back to life, but Jiang’s regime took his life again.

My husband and his sister knew Falun Dafa’s goodness in their hearts, and the whole family had greatly benefited from it. As upright persons, they knew to requite kindness with gratitude; they understood the great importance of calling for justice for Falun Dafa. As Chinese citizens they had the responsibility to clarify the government’s wrong decision on Falun Gong. Using their constitutional rights, they went to the provincial government and to Beijing to appeal. However, they were arrested again and again, and eventually were fired by their workplaces. Their colleagues said, “They are persons of excellent character, and work so diligently, but got fired. Where on earth is the justice?” Yes, where is the justice in China?

What has happened to my husband, and the news about his death by persecution, keeps coming to my mind. He had been homeless and destitute since November 2000 to avoid the illegal brainwashing plotted by Jiang’s state terrorist regime. We kept in contact until January 10, 2001. He was very healthy. With Jiang’s regime detaining more and more Falun Gong practitioners in brainwashing classes, the worsening situation made his life harder day by day; then I lost contact with him. As I knew our phone calls had been taped in China, had I inquired about where he was it would have brought him into more danger. All I could do was send blessings in my heart and wish for his safety. But what I got from the news in July was “Recently Chen Chengyong died in a thatched shed. When identifying the corpse, his sister found it was decomposed and it smelled somewhat. It is estimated that he had been dead for a period of time before the police notified the family…”

I have been in deep sorrow over my husband’s tragic death; I have been in extreme bitterness for my young daughter who has lost her father forever, before she can even say “Daddy.” My husband liked her very much. The first picture taken when our daughter was six months old has become the only memento of my family. Whenever I call my daughter’s name, “Fadu” (Fa Save), which was given by my husband, and see her innocently kissing the picture, my heart is bleeding. I have no idea how to tell my growing daughter about her father’s miserable death; I don’t know what the terror will bring to her. My mind is in turmoil when I face all of this. But one thing I know from the very beginning, is that it is Jiang’s regime that cruelly persecutes Falun Gong, and it is the persecution that killed my husband and brings misery to tens of thousands of families like mine. Jiang XX (Jiang Zemin) is the prime culprit committing the crime.

For several months I couldn’t do anything due to my severe suffering. I didn’t even have the energy to hold a pen until today. The first thing I must do is to tell the people about the miserable experiences of my family. I am appealing for support from all compassionate people, to urgently help rescue the Chinese Falun Gong practitioners suffering cruel persecution like my husband, and I am calling on the voice of justice from all organizations of justice and all people of justice, to stop the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. One letter, one signature, and one resolution from you will suffocate the evil force’s savage acts and will keep other families like mine from suffering the same tragedy. Each of your transmission of truth telling would clarify the truth to those who are deluded. It would also allow those blind order-followers to understand the principle that “Good is rewarded with good, and evil meets evil,” and save those who are heading to the abyss of hell.

面对这一切我的思绪如乱麻，但有一点自始至终我是非常清醒的：那就是江泽民政府残酷迫害法轮功，才使我的丈夫被迫害致死，才使我的家庭及千千万万个家庭遭受不幸，江泽民是这些不幸家庭悲剧的制造者。

【明慧网2001年12月14日】记得一句名言说过：“幸福的家庭都是相似的，不幸的家庭各有各的不幸。”可是今天我要说的是：我的家与当今中国千千万万个家正在遭受着同样的不幸。

今年七月的一天，房友异乎寻常严肃地递给我一张从网上拿下的消息，我一看标题“被迫流离失所的大法弟子陈承勇被迫害致死”，我惊呆了，陈承勇是我的丈夫啊！我不敢相信自己的眼睛，擦了擦眼又定睛看了一遍，千真万确！如此的噩耗顿使我全身发抖，顿觉天旋地转，多时不能自已……过了许久，房友边流泪边安慰着我，把我搀扶到我那面容长得酷似父亲陈承勇的女儿床前，我泪眼模糊地望着这仅十五个月就失去了父亲的幼小生命，我的心在加剧的疼痛，我浑身在继续颤抖……

当此噩耗正使我悲痛得撕肝裂肺之时家里又发生的不幸之事对我更是雪上加霜。阿勇的姐姐(也是法轮功学员)前去认尸时被非法抓进洗脑班（江泽民集团对法轮功学员的非法拘禁），不法之徒妄图强迫她放弃修炼法轮功，但她认为信仰以“真善忍”为原则的法轮大法没有错！这是做人的基本权利，所以她坚决拒绝放弃。但是利令智昏的公安不顾其胞弟刚刚去世的尸骨未寒，在8月又非法判她劳教两年。阿勇的父亲经受不住这白发人送黑发人的悲痛、承受不住刚刚痛失爱子又闻爱女被判刑的人间最大不幸–生离死别的巨大打击，在9月老人家含着悲冤离开了人间。这接二连三的不幸一起向我袭来，使我几个月里陷入无比悲痛之中。

对于仅两个月内一家三口家破人亡，两人惨死、一人落狱的恐怖我害怕，我不敢只身到那将法轮功学员置於人间地狱的中国去取回我阿勇的骨灰盒。对于当初我准备在生我、养我的故乡生活下去，而同意阿勇不愿申请来澳我后悔。具有悠久文明历史的古国，已被当权者变成生灵涂炭的恐怖国家，中国走向何方？我迷茫。在我的祖国，当权者为什么对修炼“真、善、忍”的法轮功学员如此残忍，我百思不解。

阿勇的父亲原本是一位花去重金都医治无效被中西医判了死刑的尿毒症垂危病人，但修炼法轮功后他的病神奇的不治自愈了。法轮功给了老人家第二次生命的奇迹，在他们全家人都在那工作的造纸厂以及居住地区引起了很大震动，也吸引了许多人炼法轮功。可是1999年7月20日江泽民等当权小人开始陷害法轮功，老人家乞求地对警察说：若我不炼要死人的。警察无奈地说：我们也知道法轮功救了你的命，但上面要取缔，我们只得奉命。法轮功使老人家起死回生，但江泽民政府又夺去了他的生命。

阿勇和他的姐姐深知法轮大法好，自己一家从大法中受益无穷，感到做人要知恩报恩，要为法轮大法说句公道话。作为公民有责任帮助政府纠正对法轮功的错误定论，如果明知有人正在对法轮功犯诬陷罪、盲目杀人罪等而知情不报，这不是自己在犯包庇罪吗？于是他们行使法律赋予公民的权利，去省政府、去北京上访，然而却一次次遭到拘捕且被单位开除公职。单位的同事都说：他们的人品这么好、工作这么勤奋却被炒了，到底公道在哪里？是啊，在中国，天理何在啊？

丈夫生前的情景及被迫害致死的消息不断在我眼前浮现：他为了躲避江泽民恐怖集团对法轮功学员的非法拘禁（洗脑班），于2000年11月左右开始在外流浪，有家不能回，2001年1月10日之前我们一直有联系，他的身体也一直都非常健康。随着国内强制抓捕法轮功学员进洗脑班的形势日趋严峻，使得他那漂泊不定、经济拮据的生活更加艰难，后来我们失去了联系，我知家里电话早就被监听，若我再打听他的住所无疑会给他带来危险，我只能默默祝福他平安。但七月的那份消息说：“近日传出陈承勇已死于一茅棚内，其姐姐认尸时发现尸体已开始变质、变味，估计已死去一段时间才通知家人……”

对于丈夫的如此惨死，我无比悲伤；对于我们那年幼的女儿还未来得及喊上一声爸爸就永远失去了父亲，我万分痛心；阿勇非常喜欢孩子。孩子只有六个月时的第一张全家合影照竟成了我一家永远的纪念照。孩子六个月时我一家和他的姐姐及孩子去动物园的第一次游玩竟成了最后一次。每当我叫起丈夫给孩子起的名字“法度”时；每当我看到孩子纯真地在全家福的照片上亲吻时，我的心就在流血。我不知该怎样向渐渐长大的女儿诉说爱她的父亲的惨死；我不知这恐怖将给女儿成长带来怎样的影响。面对这一切我的思绪如乱麻，但有一点自始至终我是非常清醒的：那就是江泽民政府残酷迫害法轮功，才使我的丈夫被迫害致死，才使我的家庭及千千万万个家庭遭受不幸，江泽民是这些不幸家庭悲剧的制造者。

几个月里我痛苦万分无力做任何事，直到今天我有了扶笔之力，我要做的第一件事就是要把我家的不幸悲惨遭遇讲给大家，恳请所有善良的人们能够伸出援助之手，紧急营救那些与我丈夫一样正在遭受残酷折磨的中国法轮功学员；恳请所有正义的组织和正义之士能发出正义之声，尽快制止这场对法轮功学员惨无人道的迫害。你们的一封信，一个签名，一项决议将会窒息邪恶的残暴行径以使象我家这样的不幸悲剧不再发生；你们的一个真相传送，将会使那些不明真相的人们明白真相，也可以使盲从者们明白“善有善报，恶有恶报”的天理，以挽救他们那正在走向无底深渊的永久生命。

Philadelphia, U.S.: Engineer Exposes the Horrific Legacy of Former Chinese Communist Party Leader

(Minghui.org) The Philadelphia Inquirer, the largest newspaper in Pennsylvania, published a short piece titled, “Legacy of Jiang Zemin” in its Letters to the Editor section on December 14, 2022. Originally from China, Mr. Kui Huang now works as an engineer in Philadelphia. He stated at the end of his letter, “Jiang’s death brings some hope for the people in China to follow their conscience and stop participating in this vicious annihilation campaign.”

When Mr. Huang was a doctoral student at Tsinghua University (known as China’s MIT), he was jailed and tortured for five years for practicing Falun Gong and abiding by its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Mr. Huang said that the horrific legacy of Jiang, former leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), was launching the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999.

One of the thousands of persecuted practitioners in China, Mr. Huang, who was still a doctoral student at Tsinghua University, was arrested in December 2000 and incarcerated for the next five years for not giving up practicing Falun Gong. He was made to do forced labor for 16 hours every day and was tortured with a high-voltage electric baton. He was deprived of sleep for 30 consecutive days and was forced to squat for three full days.

Peace Before the Persecution

Mr. Huang was born in a worker’s family in Xinyang City, Henan Province. He studied hard and achieved excellent grades in school. In 1994, he was admitted to Tsinghua University, one of the best higher education institutions in China, with honors. He was elected class head and vice chairman of the Science and Technology Association of the Department of Precision Instruments by merit of his top academic performance in the class.

While attending college, Mr. Huang was full of curiosity and thought about the supernormal functions of the human body, the universe, the ultimate meaning of life, and supernatural phenomena. One day in early 1998, a classmate gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun (Volume 2). Intrigued, he started practicing Falun Gong. Twenty-five years later, Mr. Huang’s memory is still fresh when he recalls those years. He said, “Falun Gong books teach very profound principles, and they clearly explain the mysteries of the human world and the long history of the universe.”

He was in his early 20s and realized that Falun Gong was what he had been looking for. He repeatedly read Mr. Li Hongzhi’s works in his spare time, and regularly participated in morning group exercises.

Falun Gong was spreading rapidly across China, and there were 12 Falun Gong practice sites at Tsinghua University alone. Hundreds of people did the exercises at each practice site, which Mr. Huang said was spectacular to see. When there were too many people at one practice site, extra shifts were arranged, until there were four shifts each day: Morning, early afternoon, late afternoon, and evening.

After practicing, many students no longer slept late or played games. Their health and morality improved, and more students took up the practice. The students practiced and interacted freely, and Mr. Huang said it was the happiest time.

He said following Falun Gong’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, improved both his physical and mental health and opened his wisdom. Before graduating from his undergraduate studies, he was recommended to directly study for a Ph.D. and was accepted at Tsinghua University in September 1999.

Jiang’s Horrific Legacy: Launching the Genocide of Falun Gong

“Former Chinese Communist Party head Jiang Zemin’s most horrific legacy is ordering a genocide campaign in July 1999 to eradicate Falun Gong,” stated Mr. Huang in his letter: “Legacy of Jiang Zemin.”

On July 20, 1999, Mr. Huang was shocked when he learned from the Minghui.org website that volunteer coordinator practitioners across the country were arrested. The next day, when he and other Tsinghua students went to appeal at the Appeals Office near Xidan, they saw armed police beating Falun Gong practitioners in the street and forcibly pulling practitioners into a bus. Buses took a large number of practitioners to the Shijingshan Gymnasium and the Fengtai Gymnasium in the suburbs of Beijing. He witnessed some practitioners being repeatedly beaten and drenched with water. One Tsinghua student was beaten until his T-shirt was torn into strips.

He recalled that the temperature in Beijing rose suddenly at that time, and the ground temperature was as high as 50 degrees Celsius. Huang went to the State Council Appeal Office many times to appeal. He went to Tiananmen Square to unfurl a banner, and was interviewed by Western media reporters. As a result, he was arrested, beaten, and suspended from school.

At 3:00 p.m. on July 22, 1999, the administrators of Tsinghua University asked everyone to watch TV, which broadcast the decision of the CCP Politburo Standing Committee for the first time. That day, the CCP’s public suppression of Falun Gong officially began.

All radio stations, TV stations, and newspapers in China suddenly went full steam ahead to slander Falun Gong. Jiang Zemin issued a policy of extermination against Falun Gong, “defaming their reputation, crushing them financially, and destroying them physically.” The 610 Office was set up, and from top to bottom at all levels of government it has been persecuting Falun Gong for 23 years.

Under Jiang’s instruction, the army and the armed police hospitals cooperated to harvest organs from a large number of living Falun Gong practitioners and formed a one-stop shop to carry out a crime that has never been seen.

On October 25, 1999, Jiang Zemin, the then CCP head, blatantly slandered Falun Gong when interviewed by the French newspaper Le Figaro. Two days later, the CCP’s mouthpiece People’s Daily published an editorial slandering Falun Gong, and the persecution escalated.

Incarcerated and Tortured

Faced with the escalating persecution and the silence of the international community, Mr. Huang said that the CCP’s suppression of people who practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance destroyed the last bit of kindness that people still had. It portended disaster for the whole nation.

On December 16, 2000, Mr. Huang was arrested in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. He was then detained in the Zhuhai No. 2 Detention Center, where he was squeezed into a small cell with 20 detainees. In the cell, there is no sunlight or fresh air. Eating, drinking, sleeping, and producing forced labor products were all done in that cell.

He said that he was forced to work seven days a week, at least 16 hours a day, and often 18 to 20 hours, because the workload was heavy. He was not allowed to sleep if he didn’t finish his quota.

The forced labor products included various plastic flowers, Christmas tree lights, necklaces, moon cake boxes, table lamps, and Spiderman toys. This included processing food. Everyone was given pliers to clamp the hard shell of pistachios and pull them half open.

Mr. Huang was sentenced to five years in prison in October 2001. He was interrogated, threatened, and beaten. Any resistance would be met with brutal reprisals. He went on hunger strikes twice, and the prison guards used metal pliers to pry open his mouth and forcibly poured in an unknown liquid.

After the second hunger strike, Mr. Huang was handcuffed and forced to kneel in front of hundreds of inmates. More than twelve prison guards shocked him with high-voltage electric batons. Electricity passed through his body, causing him to violently convulse.

He was imprisoned for a total of five years, including nearly a year in solitary confinement. At one point, he was deprived of sleep for an entire month.

Jiang’s Crimes Are Heinous and Need to Be Thoroughly Investigated

In July 2015, 34 Tsinghua faculty members and students at home and abroad collectively sued Jiang Zemin for torture and crimes against humanity and demanded compensation. Mr. Huang, who was already in the United States, also participated in this lawsuit as a victim. An Australian lawyer prepared the case file for the lawsuit and sent it to China’s Supreme Court, the Supreme Procuratorate and the Ministry of Public Security in Beijing.

On September 21 that year, The Hill published Mr. Huang’s blog post, explaining the reasons for accusing Jiang Zemin.

Mr. Huang said that Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong is a large-scale persecution targeting around 100 million practitioners, which also implicates their family members and friends. Various aspects of the government, such as the police, procuratorate, court, media, schools, and education system have all been involved. The scope of the persecution is unimaginable.

“Jiang was a heinous person. It is a pity that he was not brought to justice before he died,” Mr. Huang said. “But the aftermath must be made public. The scourge of the Chinese people must be completely investigated. Justice will prevail in the world eventually. His corrupt family will not escape justice.”

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
