Like any other Indian girl, Mor was focused on completing her computer engineering—and modeling was never a part of her master plan. Her career in modeling kickstarted when she was organizing a pageant and one of her friends submitted her name as a joke.
To her great surprise, Mor was declared as the winner of the event, “Clean & Clear Ahmedabad Times Fresh Face,” in 2012.
After her studies, Mor decided to move to New Delhi to try fashion modeling. A few stints at the Fashion Week in New Delhi and Mumbai gave her a taste of things to come. International opportunities came knocking at the door when a friend of hers, represented by Elite NYC, posted a picture of her on Instagram.

Elite New York signed her up in 2015, and she soon found herself modeling for the Louis Vuitton Resort collection in Palm Springs. In 2016, she relocated to New York City to explore further opportunities.
Everybody thinks that the life of a model is glamorous. But if one takes a sneak peek into their lives, one will discover that there is more to it than champagne and the yachts.
Mor reveals that moving to new environments and countries will displace you from your comfort zone. Adjusting to different cultures, societies, and cuisines is difficult even if you’ve been doing it for years. Modeling brings numerous physical and mental challenges and Mor was in search of something that would keep her grounded.

Almost three years ago, the budding super-model was introduced to Falun Dafa, a meditation practice centered around the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It involves a set of meditation exercises that strengthen the body, and moral teachings that focuses to enrich the mind with goodness and positivity.
In an interview with The Epoch Times, Mor shared that every time she does Falun Dafa exercises, she feels connected with herself.
“I always keep some time for myself [in the morning], doing Dafa exercises,” Mor told The Epoch Times. “That time is my time that connects me to myself—to look within. Being born Indian I always did meditation—yoga and meditation, you just do since you’re a kid. My family is so spiritual. That makes me look at life differently.”

Mor also reveals that practicing Falun Dafa has made her a better person and is her source for inspiration. Previously, in a trying situation, she used to always find faults with others and blamed them if anything went wrong. But now, she acknowledges her faults first and reflects on how she can improve herself to turn the situation over.

She always keeps sometime in the morning for herself for meditation and the practice is the secret to her being grounded.

Talking to the Epoch Times, she said: “What I’ve seen here, is how people are always stressed about what is going to happen. I think if you can just let go of that, and just follow your path, it’s easier. So if you can really live every second, you will really feel the beauty of life on a much deeper level.”
“Follow your destiny and be grounded in yourself,” she added.

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is a self-improvement meditation system based on the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. It was introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992 in China. It is currently practiced by over a 100 million people in 114 countries. But this peaceful mediation system is being brutally persecuted in China since 1999. For more info, please visit: www.FalunDafa.org and www.FalunInfo.org.

Watch: Candlelight Across The Street 【

Just off Oxford Street in London, there is a quiet road – Portland Place. There are lots of embassies here, also the BBC headquarters, and the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 1875, The Qing Dynasty Empress, Dowager Cixi bought an office building here. From then on, this place has been China’s embassy.
On June 5th, 2002, a group of people appeared across the street. Since then, day and night, they have been staying there. Why are they there day and night? What kind of effect do their actions have? Behind their quiet demeanor, what kind of people are they?

Watch Candlelight Across the Street (English Dubbed Version)

(The following letter was written by Ben Chen, a principle dancer of Shen Yun Performing Arts. His mom has been the coordinator of this 24/7 vigil of Falun Gong practitioners sine June 5, 2002. He wrote this letter to his grandpa why his parents were always so busy.)
The letter is from this documentary: Candlelight Across the Street:
I always believe that hardship can temper one’s character, enrich his experiences, and improve his morality. This is similar to the principles of cultivation. Of course we are not seeking suffering. But amidst life’s difficulties when other people mistreat me, even while being persecuted, I cannot give up. I have to walk my path with determination.
Thinking back, if I had not grown up this way, I may have become spoiled and lazy, unable to accomplish anything. Had I been too comfortable, I may have gradually abandoned my beliefs, and become lost in material indulgence. While I did not have time to play video games, I might have spent my time on composing music. Without pursuing a luxury lifestyle, I had time to read and enrich myself.
I gradually started to understand why my parents were so busy. My parents were busy, because the persecution has been going on, and it still continues. Many people don’t know that. Human life is so precious. That’s my mom and dad may work day and night.
You said effort ought to be rewarded. This is certainly true. So many years have passed. No matter it was with our family’s situation, or with the way my parents raised me, we may not see the reward at the time. Instead, they will be shown many years later. Dad and mom’s efforts were not in vain.
Confucius taught justice and destiny. We should do righteous things without considering if we can succeed or not. We do what we can wholeheartedly, and try to be worthy of our consciences. Regardless of the outcome, we have all succeeded, because in terms of morality and conscience, we will always be in an invincible position.

[Video] Memoir of a Communist Slave

Memoir of a Communist Slave tells the harrowing and true story of David Huang—a man whose wife was murdered by the same oppressors that forced him into China’s notorious prison ‘gulag system’ in the early 2000’s. It was there he suffered and endured ‘re-education through labor’ for his faith.
The belief system he follows is a traditional Chinese practice called Falun Gong, a blend of Buddhist and Taoist-like teachings mixed with meditation. Falun Gong rose to enormous popularity in the 1990’s, with millions of Chinese participating in the practice. By 1999, the Communist State, under the direction of then dictator Jiang Zemin moved to eliminate and systematically persecute Falun Gong followers.
Emerging emaciated from incarceration after two years, David was tipped off that he was about to be arrested for a second time. Grappling with little other than the prospect of death, he attempts to escape China in a quest for freedom.
A story of tragedy, faith, and resistance in the face of brutal totalitarianism, Memoir of a Communist Slave is one man’s journey to uncover what he believes has held him and his people hostage for too long.

Legends Unfolding 傳奇時代: Kung Fu • Seeking the Tao 功夫 • 尋道 (w/ English subtitles)

Since ancient times people have sought the true essence of martial arts. Were the legendary martial arts techniques real or fictional? In today’s busy world where can we find the spirit and morality of the ancients? And what is the true purpose of life?
