Amusing photograph of little girl

(Clearwisdom.net) This is a very amusing photograph. The adult-sized vest embroidered with the three Chinese characters, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” accentuates this little girl’s petite body and her innocent face. With pursed lips and an intense look, she holds one hand vertically in front of her chest and the other behind her back. What is she thinking? Apparently, her thoughts were written on the poster board right next to her: “Jiang Zemin, you are the number-one villain in history!”
The composition of this photograph stresses rectangles, which creates a simple, clean and sharp visual effect. The color palette is very well coordinated.

Falun Gong Cured My Heart Disease

I used to feel weak, and now I walk quickly. I can walk for a long distance and do not feel tired. I no longer suffer from gastroptosis, frozen shoulder, purulent tonsils, nephritis, inflammation of my joint ligaments, arthritis in my knees, rhinitis, sinusitis, eye refractive errors, and mouth sores. All of these were cured by Falun Gong without any medical treatment.

June 11, 2013 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in China
(Minghui.org) I was diagnosed with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT), a rapid heart rhythm originating at or above the atrioventricular node, during a routine health examination in 1993. I was only in my 30s. Patients with PSVT typically describe a rapid, or racing, heartbeat (between 130 and 230 beats per minute) that starts and stops abruptly.
The doctor told me to check into the hospital right after I was diagnosed. I was terribly busy at the time because I had just moved into a new home. More importantly, I had to look after my family and I didn’t feel any discomfort or pain at all.
I pleaded, “Can I be an outpatient?” “No,” he answered. “You must contact a provincial people’s hospital and check in tomorrow.” I showed my report to a veteran doctor at the medical office at work and asked her for a second opinion. “Do you think I can just be treated as an outpatient?” Her face changed when she read the report. “Go the accounting department. You must check into the hospital tomorrow.”
Once I was in the hospital, I asked the attending doctor to explain what type of heart problem I had, but he did not want to tell me more than I could bear. I was simply told that I must get to the emergency room whenever my heart raced.
A struggle just to live
I began to wear a heart rate monitor around the clock. The morning I checked into the hospital, my heart rate went up to 240 beats per minute (bpm), but I didn’t feel my heart racing at all. The doctor warned that it was more dangerous if a patient does not feel her heart racing. It was June when I checked into the hospital, and it was very warm. I tried to sneak out and go home to take a quick shower, but my attending doctor caught me. He had a serious talk with me. He said, “We are watching you very closely. Don’t think this is nothing just because you don’t feel it. You could die if you were not in the hospital when your heart suddenly raced. We had a doctor in our department who was diagnosed with PSVT. He sneaked out of the hospital. When we found out, we immediately called his home only to find out he had already died.”
I finally realized the gravity of my condition. I had to stay in bed every day and wear a heart rate monitor around the clock. All the prescription drugs were imported. A nurse told me the drugs were worth their weight in gold. I felt fortunate that the health plan at work paid 100% of my medical expenses.
I became worse after eight weeks in the hospital and felt weak. I had chest pains, shortness of breath, heart pain, and lower-back pain. I decided that I would die there if I stayed any longer. The doctor agreed when I asked to check out.
I spent a lot of money on many different home remedies. For example, I would buy special eggs with selenium. Each one cost the same as a dozen regular eggs. I also bought a lot of expensive ginseng. I tried many different schools of qigong . I must have bought at least 30 qigong books. I spent a lot of time at bookstores searching for books on a healthy diet, food therapy, and massage; however, my health continued to deteriorate.
More bad news
I had another exam in 1994 when I felt so weak that I couldn’t lift my legs. I was diagnosed with mitral regurgitation, a disorder of the heart in which the mitral valve does not close properly when the heart pumps out blood.
I was again told to check into the hospital, but I did not want to since I got worse the last time I went there, so I only took prescription drugs. I loved my family, but it pained me to become a burden to them. I was afraid that I might die at anytime and leave them behind.
A miracle
When I was in the depths of despair, a relative called me in June 1995 and told me about Falun Gong. She suggested that we check out a Falun Gong group practice site in a local park. I only agreed because I thought it would be rude to turn her down.
A young man at the park talked to us about Falun Gong. I was surprised that he practiced it at such a young age, because qigong was more popular among older folks in China. He explained, “Falun Gong is better than other qigongs . It has had a positive effect on my health and my performance at school. I used to be under a lot of pressure to keep up at school, but now I can relax and still do well in school.”
He added, “I am a medical student. A professor at medical school used to have an illness that neither he nor the hospital could cure. He was cured quickly after he started practicing Falun Gong.” He suggested that I try it when he saw I was skeptical.
He started teaching my relative and me the exercises. It took us about an hour to learn all five of them, and I felt great. I didn’t take a nap after lunch that day, but I felt energetic in the afternoon. I returned to the park the next day and bought a copy of Zhuan Falun, and I have been practicing at home ever since.
My employer sent me for another exam a few months later. I no longer had mitral regurgitation. I asked a doctor I knew to check me again. She was surprised when she examined me. “Are you sure you had mitral regurgitation?” “Yes.” “It is very curious. Your mitral valve looks great. It does not show any sign that it is not closing properly.”
In excellent health
I was ecstatic. I should have known, because I felt completely healthy.
It feels great to be healthy, and I walk as though I have a pair of wings. When I was on a business trip to Tianjin with a few colleagues in 1997, a colleague asked me to slow down, although I was not walking briskly.
Giving credit to Dafa
My colleagues once organized a day hike. They were curious to find out if I really did not have any heart disease any longer. I ended up leaving everyone else behind when I was halfway up the peak. I ate two cucumbers and waited for 30 more minutes before they caught up with me. Some of my colleagues decided to take a cable car to the peak. Some gave up halfway, but I reached the peak effortlessly. Many of my colleagues decided to start practicing Falun Gong after that.
I ran into former colleagues not long ago. One asked, “You have been very healthy for many years. You must have saved a lot on medical expenses.” “It is not just money. Falun Gong has saved me from the pain of sickness.” Another commented, “I am afraid of getting sick because the medical costs are getting expensive.” I said, “Just because one is afraid of getting sick does not mean one will not get sick.” “That is true,” she said. “Look at you, so young looking and healthy.”
I was on a business trip with a colleague last year. She asked why I never wore any glasses and asked how old I was. “I can see perfectly well, and I am 54.” She was astonished. “I thought you were at least 10 years younger than I am!”
I wanted to tell her that I did not cultivate as well as many of my fellow Falun Gong practitioners. Some practitioners of the same age look even younger than I. On the other hand, I do look younger than most people my age. I have excellent vision and hearing, and I have all of my teeth. I have few gray hairs. I use the most affordable skin moisturizer, but I have great skin. I used to have a sick and dull complexion, but now I look radiant with few, nearly invisible wrinkles. In fact, I have better skin than a colleague who has had a skin rejuvenation procedure.
She asked, “What kind of skin care products do you use to have such great skin?” I replied, “It is because of Falun Gong that I have great skin.” “Then I am going to practice it, too.” My family, relatives, friends, and colleagues started practicing after they saw my transformation. It looks like Falun Gong has also saved me a lot of money on skin care products because I have been repeatedly told that I don’t look like I am approaching 60.
Becoming a better person
Falun Gong requires its followers to conduct themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We are asked to search inward when we face conflicts whether or not we are in the wrong. This is how I have been cultivating for the past 20 years. I can honestly say that I have become more generous, forgiving, selfless and considerate. It is because of Falun Gong’s teaching that I have get along well with my family, colleagues, and neighbors.

Beijing Pressures Spain Over Tibet Genocide Case

Jose Elias Esteve, the lawyer representing the plaintiffs in genocide case before the National Court, told Epoch Times that China’s diplomatic protests are “expressly asking the Spanish government to close the case because it can damage the relationship between Spain and China.”

In diplomatic meetings in Beijing and Madrid, the Chinese regime made known its displeasure with a Nov. 18 decision by the Spanish National Court to issue arrest warrants for former Chinese regime head Jiang Zemin and four other high-ranking officials. The warrants are in connection with the court’s investigation of genocide in Tibet.
Upon the decision against Jiang Zemin and the four other officials being issued, ChinaForeign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei, immediately called a press conference and warned, “We hope that the relevant parts in Spain take seriously China’s concern and don’t do anything that might harm this country or the relationship between China and Spain.”
On Nov. 20, Beijing summoned the Spanish ambassador to discuss the court ruling and, on the same day in Madrid, Director General for North America and the Asia Pacific of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ernesto Zulueta, met with a representative from the Chinese Embassy.
Also on Nov. 20, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo, on his return from a trip to California and Florida convened an emergency meeting “to address this crisis,” while saying that the issue could be discussed in the Council of Ministers, said the Spanish newspaper El País.
A Spanish Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Nov. 21 that in the Beijing meeting China repeated the concern that the court decision could damage relations between the two nations. The spokeswoman said that in the Madrid meeting the Chinese official spoke of the court decision as interference in China’s judicial system.
China claims “sovereign immunity” for its former presidents. In international law, a head of state only has immunity while in office.
In the past, the Chinese regime has punished nations for taking actions it disapproves of. European nations whose leaders have met with the Dalai Lama, have found that the Chinese regime refuses high-level meetings and blocks economic deals.
Jose Elias Esteve, the lawyer representing the plaintiffs in genocide case before the National Court, told Epoch Times that China’s diplomatic protests are “expressly asking the Spanish government to close the case because it can damage the relationship between Spain and China.”
“Spain is a democratic country and the judiciary should be independent of the executive power,” said Esteve.
Esteve rejected the argument that Spain’s economic self-interest lays in appeasing China.
“Many of the products we buy are made by Tibetan prisoners in detention centers, which are like concentration camps,” Esteve told the Spanish newspaper Levante. “From the economic point of view, the subsidized relocation of textile and toys companies not only takes advantage of the violation of human rights there, but also causes unemployment here [in Spain].”
The decision by Spain’s National Court comes during a time of increasing tensions in Tibet. Since February 2009 123 Tibetans have self-immolated in protest of the Chinese regime’s policies, according to International Campaign for Tibet. On Oct. 1, at least 60 Tibetans were injured when Chinese forces fired on protesters, according to the International Campaign.
The Associated Press contributed to the report.
