After students Lisa, Ksenia, Daria, and Ulyana learned that the persecution has been going on in China for almost 25 years, they said that something had to be done to stop it. When the practitioner told them about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and how the practice brings harmony to mind and body, they expressed their interest in practicing.
(Minghui.org) On April 25, 2024, in Nizhny Novgorod, practitioners hosted an information day to mark the 25th anniversary of the April 25 appeal.
In 1999, about 10,000 Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners lined up outside the Appeals Office of the State Council on April 25 to request the release of 45 of practitioners detained in Tianjin. The gathering was peaceful and orderly. Although the premier at the time agreed to release the practitioners and ensure that practitioners would have a safe place to practice their faith, three months later, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Jiang Zemin started a brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Millions of practitioners have since been discriminated against and abused for their faith. Adherents of the practice are imprisoned, tortured and have had their organs harvested against their will. The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China continues to this day.
The event was held in the center of Novogrod in the busiest tourist area. Practitioners distributed informational booklets to passersby and explained the significance of the April 25 appeal, the ensuing persecution of Falun Dafa in China, and how the CCP has profited from the persecution by harvesting organs from living practitioners in China.
Russians Shocked by the CCP’s Violence
Many passersby stopped to inquire about the persecution and sign the petition to condemn the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
Several people were taken aback by the fact that a government would treat its own citizens so terribly.
Sojida and Alice expressed indignation that such evil still exists. They told practitioners that they hoped the killing of people for their organs would soon end and signed the petition.
Galina read the petition carefully and was very surprised that such a crime could continue for so long. She signed to express her desire for this terrible evil to stop.
When they signed the petition, two boys said that they did not support any form of murder, especially for the sake of somebody’s organs.
Retiree: “There is nothing better than Falun Dafa.”
In addition to signing the petition, passersby also wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa.

Retiree Lev Anatolyevich also expressed his admiration for the principles of Falun Dafa and its moral foundation. He signed the petition and said, “There is nothing better than Falun Dafa on this earth.”
Police officers on duty in the area came over to find out about the event. When they learned about the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa, they said they were interested in practicing cultivation.
