日前，《新青年》网站读者实地探访了位于大连高新区的哈根斯尸体公司，发现这家公司早已人去楼空。这名读者描述，整个公司园区由一栋8层高的楼，和一栋2层的楼，以及若干地下工作室组成。2011年底公司已搬迁，公司大门的封条上写有〝二0一二年二月二十九日封〞字样。浸泡尸体的池子只剩下一个坑，墙上塑化尸体的程序还保留着，屋里只有来准备拆迁的工人，两天后《新青年》的录像遭到删除，不过拍客的成果被海外媒体保存下来。
《了望东方》05年描述过这所工厂，这所占地近三万平方米的哈根斯公司，当时仍是一个静悄悄的地方，红色的行政办公楼孤零零的矗立在荒草丛生的院落里，看不到人走动，这所国际工厂围墙外的大门上，05年仍然没有挂一块厂牌。
报导还说，哈根斯公司强调〝中国尸体来源充足，用于制作塑化标本的化学原料及设备费用低于国外2-3倍〞，是他们将生产基地设在中国的重要因素之一。
哈根斯公司是薄熙来在主政大连时批准成立的，也就是中共迫害法轮功的第二个月—-1999年8月，据哈根斯儿子介绍，薄熙来当时亲自授予汉根斯〝大连友谊奖章〞。
2006年5月20号《辽沈晚报》报导，辽宁丹东市郊区楼房镇小孤山7组的村民，向当地公安局报告，在一个出租的农家大院里发现了30多具尸体，主要是中年人和年轻人。
