No one would guess that only five months ago she was suffering from breast cancer and serious depression. Remarkably, all of her symptoms disappeared soon after she took up the practice of Falun Gong.
(Minghui.org)Forty-four-year-old Ms. Lin Xue is a warm-hearted and outgoing woman. No one would guess that only five months ago she was suffering from breast cancer and serious depression. Remarkably, all of her symptoms disappeared soon after she took up the practice of Falun Gong.
“I finally know how it feels to be a perfectly healthy person, free of illness!” said Ms. Lin with a big smile.

Ms. Lin had suffered serious depression since she was 13. She couldn’t sleep at night, and felt dizzy during the day. Her depression and insomnia became a vicious cycle. To make matters worse, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. Even after surgery removed the cancer, she lived in fear that the cancer would return.
Ms. Lin also suffered other gynecological problems, including menstrual disorder. She sometimes stayed awake all night long, unable to sleep. Even if she managed to fall asleep, she would wake up from a nightmare with her heart pounding heavily. There seemed to be nowhere for her to turn for relief, as neither western nor eastern treatments had helped.
A relative of Ms. Lin’s called her one day in 2013 telling her that Falun Gong had great health benefits. At first her husband was wary, due to the persecution, but he eventually read the book, Zhuan Falun, and determined that there would be no harm in his wife learning the practice.
Recalling her first experiences with the practice, Ms. Lin said, “I started reading the book every day, and started practicing Falun Gong’s exercises every day. I soon began to feel an energy flow. It was wonderful! I continued to do the exercises.”
Within a few months, her insomnia was completely gone. She said, “I never knew one could live such a healthy and worry-free life! I’ve never slept so well before.”
Ripple Effect
Having witnessed Ms. Lin’s recovery, her husband started practicing too.
Ms. Lin told her friend in Vancouver, Alei, who had been struggling with health problems, about her miraculous recovery. Alei started practicing and quickly saw improvement as well.
Alei’s husband joined her in the practice and his back pain, which no medical treatment had been able to cure, was soon gone. When Alei’s parents visited from Fuzhou, China, they saw Alei and her husband’s positive changes, and they, too, started practicing Falun Gong. Before they left Vancouver, they said they would continue the practice, as it made them feel healthier, and that the book Zhuan Falun was inspiring.

Thinking back, she said that she was not worried during the whole tribulation. Instead, she thought about how to follow the teachings and view what happened to her as a practitioner. “Good or bad, it’s all part of my cultivation. I want to be truthful, compassionate, and forbearing, and not complain,” she said.
(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Hsiu-Chen, 75, often has a warm smile on her face. Growing up in Taiwan, her mother taught her to be kind, considerate, and work hard. She also warned her that God was watching her every move, and that she should never do bad things, even if no one was watching. Ms. Huang said she clearly remembers her mother telling her that God blesses kind people who do good deeds.
Ms. Huang graduated from nursing school and worked as a nurse at a veteran’s hospital. After seeing so many patient’s sad stories, the young Ms. Huang thought, “Being human is so miserable. Rich or poor, they can’t escape sickness and death, as if everything is predestined. So I will treat the patients well, like they are my family.”
Her good attitude and hard work earned her a model nurse award. She later met her future husband, Dr. Hu Nai-Wen.
Husband and Wife Practice Falun Dafa Together
Dr. Hu introduced Ms. Huang to the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa in February 1997. He told her that it was a great practice, and recommended that she attend a nine-day workshop to learn it. As soon as she stepped into the classroom, she felt a special kind of energy. “It’s a divine and sacred energy that touched me,” she said. “When I saw Master Li on the video, it felt like meeting a family member I hadn’t seen for a long time, and I almost cried. Hearing that the teaching was free, I knew it was different from all the other qigong practices.” She made up her mind to become a practitioner.

After reading and understanding the principles taught in Zhuan Falun, the main book of Dafa, Ms. Huang viewed her work and patients in a different light. She used to become upset when patients refused to comply or swore at her. Once she knew why such conflicts happen, they no longer bothered her. “The teachings of Falun Dafa allowed me to let go of resentment. I believe in the principles Master Li taught, and the teachings allow me to improve my character and eliminate my attachments,” she said.
Encountering a Life-and-Death Tribulation
Ms. Huang felt a sharp pain in her abdomen one day in July 2000, and the constant pain prevented her from eating properly. Her weight dropped drastically and her hair fell out in handfuls.
She had to fly to Canada shortly after to take care of her mother. Her younger sister, upon seeing her so emaciated, insisted on taking her to a hospital. Upon looking at her blood test results, the doctor was in disbelief and told her that she should be in shock. She was hospitalized and went through a series of tests. One doctor wrote on her ultrasound record, “Tumor too large to be captured in whole.” She was told that the tumor might be malignant, and needed to be surgically removed.
Tumor Disappeared Overnight
Through the Falun Dafa teachings, Ms. Huang knew the root cause of her ailment. She remained calm and continued to treat others with compassion as the practice required. While she was in the hospital, she took care of a patient in the same room. The elderly woman said, “You are a patient too. Why are you taking care of me?” She replied, “I am also a professional nurse. I will be fine soon, and you will too.” The woman smiled happily.
During the night, Ms. Huang went to the bathroom and passed a large amount of feces. “I was surprised because I could barely eat at the time, yet so much stuff came out. I wasn’t too concerned about it at the time, though,” she said.
The next day, when the doctor examined her, he did not see any tumor. He said that he had never seen such a case in over ten years of medical practice. “What a miracle. You must have done many good things for this to happen,” he told her. Unable to explain what he saw, the doctor wrote on her chart, “Sudden disappearance of the tumor during a mid-term examination.”
Thinking back, she said that she was not worried during the whole tribulation. She was discharged from the hospital a week later. With a good appetite, her weight increased, and she regained her muscles and hair. When Dr. Hu flew to Canada to see her, she went to the airport to pick him up. She looked healthy, and he could not be happier. He gave her a big hug. They knew that the miracle came thanks to Master’s boundless grace.

She now cherishes every day of her life, knowing that her life was extended for her to cultivate, tell more people about Falun Dafa, its health benefits, and the ongoing persecution in China.
She also realized why her mother taught her to be kind even though she was young. She believes that because she has been kind to others, she was rewarded with the opportunity to learn such a great practice, and to survive a deadly illness. “If it weren’t for Master Li, I would not be here to tell the story. I am grateful to Master, for he taught me this great practice and helped me through hardships in life. I sincerely hope that everyone can give this practice a try,” she said.

WATCH “Falun Dafa Is Good” Shines Everywhere in Taiwan
Now I have already lived another ten years, and it is Dafa that cured my chronic lymphatic leukemia. Our whole family could not find the words to express how good Falun Dafa is! My son is a doctor and he said: Father! In our hospital, there were fourteen leukemia patients, but you are the only survivor. Falun Dafa has really demonstrated a miracle, and it is really a supernormal human science. In the near future, I will learn the exercises from you.
I am a seventy-four year old retiree in Jinzhou City. During a routine physical examination, I was diagnosed with chronic lymphatic leukemia. Even after a long stay in the hospital to cure the disease, the treatments were not effective. My doctor told me, “Regarding this kind of illness, there is no one in the whole world who has been cured by medicine.”
People said that a bone marrow transplant could cure this disease. However, there was no guarantee that I would be cured, and it was very expensive. We did not have the money to have that kind of operation. My family members looked for many types of remedies, but they all failed. When I was running out of options in 1995, a friend of mine introduced me to the practice of Falun Dafa. While reading Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa, for the first time, I knew that it was not an ordinary book. It taught people to cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, to improve their character, and to become good. Thereafter I studied the Falun Dafa teachings and practiced the exercises every day. During the course of my life, I had never apologized for my mistakes, but after practicing Dafa I looked inside every time I was faced with conflicts. Because of the improvement of my character, my physical body changed greatly. The symptoms of illness disappeared and my body was very relaxed. And spiritually, I was very happy.
No matter who it was who knew my situation, they said, You are still alive! I replied, this is because I have practiced Falun Gong. It is my Teacher who saved me from the brink of death. (Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Pak Im Soon, dressed in a traditional Korean outfit said to me, “I obtained a second life after I found Falun Gong. Thank you, Master!” She was so happy that she joined the grand parade protesting 12 years of persecution in Washington, DC, on July 15, 2011. She began cultivation only five months ago and thinks that Falun Gong is miraculous. Her husband, Lee Jong Dae, was a cancer patient, and his cancer was cured soon after the couple started cultivating. Her diabetes disappeared, and both are enjoying good health in mind and body.

More than 2500 Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Washington, DC, and held a large-scale parade and rally on July 15, 2011, to “Disintegrate the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong, and Support 100 Million Chinese Who Have Quit the CCP and Its Affiliations.” They protested the CCP’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
Seeing so many fellow practitioners from around the world, Ms. Pak was very excited. She said that when she and her husband saw a Shen Yun Performing Arts show five months ago, she felt that she was on top of the clouds. Her husband said the anti-cancer drugs were not working, and cultivating Falun Gong would be great. On a bus ride home, they expressed their wish to purchase Falun Gong books, and their illnesses were gone soon after.
Falun Gong cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many practitioners have validated the miracles and wonders of Falun Gong during their cultivation process. Many practitioners have had experiences similar to this couple. Their personal experiences expose the CCP’s lies and are living examples of the wonderfulness of Falun Gong.

Grandma Liu borrowed a copy of FalunDafa’s main book, Zhuan Falun, and began reading. “My legs used to hurt so much that I had to take painkillers every night in order to fall asleep.” She said, “It was a midsummer night when I began reading Zhuan Falun. After I read the first chapter, I felt sleepy. So I put the book down and immediately fell asleep. After I woke up, I wondered why my legs didn’t hurt the night before. I also forgot to take my painkillers! I read the second chapter the next day and the same thing happened again. On the third day, I read the third chapter and forgot to take painkillers again, and I slept very well. The book is magical!” After she read the entire book, Grandma Liu said, “I must learn this practice. It’s miraculous!”
(Minghui.org) Many people admire 88-year-old Ms. Liu Lan. Seeing her now, it’s hard to believe that she once relied on crutches to walk and was told she needed to have major surgery to replace dead bone with metal.

Grandma Liu graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and worked as an engineer for a scientific research institute for 40 years. She said, “There were no computers and we had to draw our designs.” After she retired in 1992, her legs were in constant pain. She went to a hospital and was diagnosed with femoral head necrosis. Her condition worsened and she had to rely on crutches to walk. The doctor told her that she needed to have an operation to replace the dead bone with metal.
In order to avoid the surgery, Grandma Liu started practicing qigong, but her condition kept deteriorating. Someone suggested that she try Falun Dafa.
Throwing Away Her Crutches
Grandma Liu said, “I was a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and an atheist. I tried Chinese and Western medicine to cure my disease, but nothing helped. I read a lot of books about spirituality and converted to Buddhism. I wished to have my condition resolved, so I started practicing Falun Dafa.”

She signed up for a nine-day Falun Dafa class. That was in 1997. The people who registered watched videos of Master’s lectures. After watching the first lecture, Grandma Liu felt relaxed. She said, “I had many minor ailments. After watching the lectures, my entire body felt relaxed. I was able to walk home, but out of habit, I still used my crutches.”
Grandma Liu began doing the Falun Dafa exercises with practitioners every morning. The other practitioners noticed her legs were getting stronger. After she did the exercises for three months a practitioner told her, “Throw away your crutches. I’ll accompany you home today.”
The practitioner walked with her until they reached the entrance of the compound where Grandma Liu lived. The doorman didn’t allow outsiders to enter. The practitioner was concerned and asked her, “Can you walk?” Grandma Liu recalled, “I walked home. My husband was stunned and asked, ‘You didn’t use your crutches today? You can walk?’ I said, ‘I can.’”
Grandma Liu no longer needed crutches and she canceled the major surgery that she had booked six months before.
Keeping Kindness Throughout Multiple Persecution Campaigns
Grandma Liu was in her 30s during the Cultural Revolution. “All my family members served in the army and were CCP members. They followed the Party’s directives and harmed people during the Cultural Revolution. But I never abused anybody, physically or verbally. I even protected a 50-year-old cadre who participated in China’s War of Resistance against Japan.”
A row of people, including this old cadre, were forced to stand on stools during a “struggle session.” Grandma Liu recalled, “I asked him to come down from the stool. He said, ‘Would it work that I come down?’ I said, ‘I’ll stand in front of you. When the red guards come to push you around, beat and curse you, you hold onto me, and at least you will not stumble.’”
Thirty years later, the CCP found another target, and Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to persecution. Her former coworkers all knew her story: a a previously handicapped person no longer needed crutches after practicing Falun Dafa. Thirteen of her former coworkers began practicing Falun Dafa after witnessing her recovery.
On July 20, 1999, the day the CCP banned Falun Dafa, her old workplace held a meeting and told practitioners to sign a statement renouncing Falun Dafa. Grandma Liu refused. She said, “You all see me. I’m the biggest beneficiary.” When one of her former coworkers told her, “Now you’ve become a counter-revolutionary,” She said, “I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and I strive to be a good person. I haven’t committed any crimes.”
The director of the security division at Grandma Liu’s former workplace saw that she no longer needed crutches after practicing Falun Dafa. He had a back pain problem and planned to go to the park and learn the exercises. The persecution of Falun Dafa suddenly started and he did not dare to practice, but he protected Grandma Liu.
Every time the police came to take Grandma Liu to a brainwashing session at the police station, the director stopped them from entering the workplace compound. (In China, state-run companies usually provide apartments for employees. The area is usually only accessible through a secured entrance.)
The director told the police that Grandma Liu was on a trip. When they left, he immediately called her and said, “Don’t go out now, or I will lose my job.”
Grandma Liu’s husband worked as technical advisor to the mayor before he retired, and he had contacts with city officials. When the director of the police department visited their home, he saw that she no longer needed crutches. He told her husband that he would turn a blind eye and try to use his power to protect her.
After living through the CCP’s many persecution campaigns, Grandma Liu said she clearly saw the CCP’s tyranny. She thus published her statement to quit the CCP and its affiliated organization on the Global Service Center of Withdrawing from the CCP.
Telling People that Falun Dafa Is Great
Grandma Liu moved to Canada in 2005 and lives with her daughter. Her daughter was infected with COVID-19 while working in a hospital in June, 2021. She came home, packed some basic necessities and lived in isolation. Grandma’s husband was infected during this short period of contact. While taking care of her husband, she also had some illness symptoms. Her husband was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and an X-ray showed that half of his lung had already turned white. He passed away 2 weeks later. Grandma Liu also had difficulty breathing and was rushed to the hospital. She was able to recover after being hospitalized for three days.
Her daughter said that most people in their 80s in Toronto who contracted COVID-19 died, and the hospital wanted to draw blood from Grandma Liu for scientific research. She said, “Master took care of me and I survived.” Four tubes of blood were drawn, and tests showed that her blood contained antibodies. Her daughter told her happily, “Your blood can save lives.”
She asked her daughter to tell the hospital that it was because she practices Falun Dafa and the pure and righteous energy in her blood resisted the virus and produced antibodies.
Grandma Liu often says, “My life is given by Master.” Therefore, regardless of whether it’s the heat of summer or cold winter, she takes a bus every week and reads Falun Dafa books with other practitioners. She also regularly participates in doing the exercises outdoors at a group practice site. She does whatever she can to let people know how wonderful Falun Dafa is and about the brutal persecution of practitioners in China. She uses a computer to send information about Falun Dafa to China.
