[Minghui.org] Puerto Rico: Falun Dafa Well Received at Spiritual Awareness Festival

Accompanied by the melodious exercise music, practitioners demonstrated the graceful and gentle Falun Dafa exercises. Many people stopped at the booth and asked about the practice.

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners joined more than 200 other exhibitors participating in the Spiritual Awareness Festival in San Juan, Puerto Rico on June 22-23, 2024. The Falun Dafa booth attracted many visitors, exhibitors, and therapists. After learning the exercises, many people said they felt relaxed and serene.

Accompanied by the melodious exercise music, practitioners demonstrated the graceful and gentle Falun Dafa exercises. Many people stopped at the booth and asked about the practice. Some were interested, and learned the exercises. Afterwards many said the exercises made them feel calm and relaxed despite the noisy surroundings.

*People said they felt calm and relaxed after doing the exercises.*

Even with noise from other exhibitors and occasional gusts of wind and rain, many people said they felt tranquil.

*Many festival attendees learned the simple movements of the second exercise.*

Visitors also discovered the new portal, Gan Jing World that is dedicated to well-being. Some looked it up on their mobile phones and said they were surprised to find a non-violent web platform that’s appropriate for the whole family.

Others noticed a Shen Yun poster, and some said they had seen the show. One person said that Shen Yun gave her a new perspective on life, and she planned to see it again.

*People learn about Falun Dafa, its main text Zhuan Falun, and about Shen Yun.*

*Some people who stopped to watch asked to learn the exercises.*

Besides visitors, many exhibitors and therapists came to talk with practitioners, learned the Falun Dafa exercises, and thanked the practitioners.

[Minghui.org] Puerto Rico: Practitioners Share Their Experiences on World Falun Dafa Day

Another practitioner shared that she had been practicing for more than 10 years, and now she is in her 80’s, but she is still taking care of a big house and garden all by herself. She spoke about the truths that she had found in Falun Dafa, “It nourishes my heart!” she said.

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in San Juan, Puerto Rico, met on May 13, 2023, to celebrate the 24th World Falun Dafa Day and 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to public. They shared how Falun Dafa had improved their lives, expressing their gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi.

A practitioner shared that while she is approaching 90, she still drives and attends to all her daily affairs on a regular basis. Her friends often comment about her posture and her ability to get about. Few people would believe her true age.

Another practitioner said that he had noticed big changes in his posture and appearance after he had read Zhuan Falun and done the exercises for only a few months. The feeling of heaviness and tiredness went away from his face and shoulders. People commented about the innocence in his eyes and praised him for looking young and happy. He recently went to the United States to visit his family and came back with what he thought was a bad cold. Yet in a few days he was fine. He also noticed that while before he had always struggled to find a parking space, now, when he thinks “I wonder where I can park?” a car pulls out just in time and leaves a space for him really close to where he needs to be. “This sort of thing never happened to me before,” he said, “Another thing, now, young people greet me with a smile, as if they know me!”

Another practitioner shared that she had been practicing for more than 10 years, and now she is in her 80’s, but she is still taking care of a big house and garden all by herself. She spoke about the truths that she had found in Falun Dafa, “It nourishes my heart!” she said.

Another practitioner, now retired, shared that an inner peace had grown within her, with a trust and a confidence in life. “I live alone, but I am not alone,” she said with a smile.

Another practitioner shared how she found Falun Dafa at a time of crisis in her life. She had searched and tried many other spiritual disciplines and had come to wonder whether she would ever find something genuine, not just something theoretical, or diverting. “Reading, and later, studying Zhuan Falun gave me a perspective beyond academia, philosophy, and theory. I began to live guided by the great truth [Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance], and I began to not only change myself, but also wanted to improve myself and help others.”

A practitioner, who found the practice about a year ago, shared how she had improved her ability to concentrate and deal with many things in life without being overwhelmed, distracted and anxious. This was helping her a lot with her university studies. People commented on her youthful appearance and praised her for being responsible for her life.

Another practitioner shared about his conviction. “The world of truths that I continue to find in the teachings of Falun Dafa enrich me daily in ways that I cannot put into words,” he said. He spoke of an ever growing conviction, certainty and contentment within him and the deep satisfaction in sharing Falun Dafa with others. He contributed the following poem:

Enriching rain, a gift of mercy’s smile,

Gently embraces the one-family

Each drop a galaxy of boundless grace

Mercifully removing all the lies

Awakening all hearts amazingly

Cherishing rain welcoming all back home

You took our darkest burdens to yourself

You gave your all for everyone of us
