“It is very good that you remind people of moral values. Let’s live in truth, be compassionate, be tolerant,” she said. “More people should be concerned about respecting these values and know that they are being persecuted by the communists in China, same as they [the Romanians] were persecuted in the past in our country.”
(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners organized an information event in Sinaia, a mountain resort, on September 2, 2023. They set up a booth and distributed informational materials about the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), and about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of the peaceful group.
Many passersby resonated with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and expressed support for practitioners’ efforts to help end the atrocities in China.
Sinaia is located in the valley of Prahova County, Romania. It is named after the Sinaia Monastery. It is a resort and a place for winter sports, especially alpine skiing.
Passersby Commend Practitioners for Promoting Traditional Values
Mrs. Dumitrașcu stopped by the practitioners’ booth along with her husband, Mr. Dumitrașcu. When she heard about the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she welcomed the practitioners’ efforts to remind people that respecting moral values is for the good of any human being.
“It is very good that you remind people of moral values. Let’s live in truth, be compassionate, be tolerant,” she said. “More people should be concerned about respecting these values and know that they are being persecuted by the communists in China, same as they [the Romanians] were persecuted in the past in our country.”
Sanda, a 76-year-old woman, had learned about Falun Dafa and its teachings. She said that people should stand on the side of goodness in this time when Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are being suppressed by the CCP.
“The values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance should impact the lives of every individual and society. There is a big gap between Falun Dafa’s values and communist ideology,” she said.
Condemning the Persecution of Innocent People
Adriana, a retired laboratory technician, said she was impressed by the information about Falun Dafa. She was also shocked that practitioners just like the ones she spoke with were being persecuted in China simply for their beliefs. “I can’t believe what is happening in China. It hurts my soul, I wish I could do a ‘miracle’ [for them,]” she said.
Talking about the forced organ harvesting committed by the CCP against practitioners in China, Sanda said this atrocity is beyond the acceptance of a human being. “This a hard time,” she said. “It’s a shame that innocent people are tortured.”
Messages of Hope for Falun Gong Practitioners in China
Before leaving the information booth, many of the passers-by conveyed their hope that the practitioners in China would continue to persist in their belief, regardless of the CCP’s persecution.
Mr. Dumitrașcu extended his encouragement toward the practitioners in China, and also his hope that they would one day be free. “Let them resist, and the day will come when they will be able to freely express their faith and live according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” he said.
Adriana and Sanda also expressed solidarity with the practitioners in China. “Let the persecuted practitioners know that the people of Romania are with them,” Adriana assured them. Sanda said, “I am sorry to hear about the persecution of Falun Gong and I am with them in spirit. I cannot express how sorry I am.”
Mrs. Dumitrașcu told the practitioners to hold on to hope, even though life might look bleak. “Let them know that, one day, life will change for them – it will be different. Hold on to hope!”
