It was a night of dreams come true for die-hard Girls' Generation fans.

The stunning nine members of the top female pop group in Korea (So Nyeo Shi Dae), otherwise known as SNSD, gave their all in the second and last night of their tour in Singapore on Saturday.

Skin-tight shimmery outfits coupled with coiffed hair and immaculate make-up. Check.

Dazzling choreography and stunning laser-and-pyrotechnic show. Check.

Singing (or at times lip-synching) all their hit songs such as their latest hit "The Boys", "Hoot" and "Glee" with gusto. Check.

In other words, it was a perfect, if rather manufactured, three-hour performance from the Korean babes in SNSD.

On a night when the sky went dark for few hours due to a total lunar eclipse, there was certainly no lack of dazzle inside the Indoor Stadium. And the adoring audience -- all 7,000 of them which cut across all age ranges, nationalities and races -- lapped it all up to their heart's content.

Many fans, who call themselves Sones, turned up in pink -- the signature colour for Girls' Generation -- and came well-armed with placards, pink or purple light sticks and huge posters. For many, it was their second night a row watching the girls after their Friday night debut concert.

Every time an SNSD member came close thanks to the extended stage, they shot to their feet, waved their arms excitedly and screamed. The fan fervour was well noticed by the girls.

At the end of a set of slower ballads, they bowed to the audience for several seconds. When they looked up, tears glistened in the eyes of some members.

Speaking in fluent English, SNSD's Tiffany thanked the capacity crowd and said that the group had wanted to impart strength and energy to their fans.

Instead, she said, fans -- some of whom were ticketless but were happy to sit outside and lap up or dance along to the ambient music -- had given all these and more to the group during the concert.

Perhaps Tiffany also knew that, at S$168 for the normal seats and $218 for the fan moshpit, tickets for the concert didn't come cheap.

The night was also special because the audience got the chance to see the SNSD members perform solo numbers.

Hyo Yeon, Jessica, Sunny, Yuri and Yoona impressed with their slick dance routines while Jessica played the piano and gave a touching rendition of "Almost".

Seo Hyun tap-danced and sang 'Stuff like that there' while Tiffany and Taeyeon — group leader and arguably the group's best singer -- did a rousing rendition of "Lady Marmalade" complete with burlesque outfits.

It was however, when all nine members appeared as one that the screams turned deafening shrieks of delight. The teenage girl sitting directly behind me could literally sing almost every word of every song.

Fast numbers such as girl-power song "The Boys", "Hoot", "Run Devil Run" and "Genie" garnered the most resounding responses.

Said Luffy, a 15-year-old Indonesian staying in Singapore: "I will remember this concert because the ladies all showcased their talents, whether it is singing or dancing. I also liked that they took the effort to greet us in English!"

Added 22-year-old student, Alvin: "The concert has a lot of surprises and there is never a dull moment. They changed several outfits- there were cute sailor-moon outfits and sexier pieces. They danced on platforms, skipped close to the audience and sang all their hits."

Perhaps one fan, Amairah, 19, summed it up best: "It is obvious that they each have some talents and that they have worked very hard for the concert.

"They are also very easy on the eye- I think they have perfected the art of looking cute and sexy at the same time."
