[Translated from Minghui.org] Persecution Account of Two Falun Gong practitioners in Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, before their deaths

During winter, the police forced Li Guochang to strip naked, run in circles on the snow, and beat him with branches.

(Minghui.com, June 5, 2021) (Minghui.com correspondent Hebei report) Li Guochang, a Falun Gong practitioner in Li Qingu Village, Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, was illegally re-educated through labor in 2001, and eventually persecuted into a serious illness. He passed away on November 15, 2002.

At the end of 2000, Jia Wencheng, a Falun Gong practitioner at Dingzhou City, Dingdian Town, was kidnapped and taken to the Chengbei Detention Center in Dingzhou City, where he was brutally persecuted by vicious police and prisoners until he was unable to eat or walk. He was illegally sentenced to re-education through labor, and died unjustly on the second day of the Lunar New Year of 2006.

1. Li Guochang, male, 51 years old, from Li Qingu Village, Dingzhou City, Hebei Province. In January 2001, Li Guochang was kidnapped to the police station by the police of the Li Qingu Police Station for petitioning in Beijing to explain the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong.

During winter, the police forced Li Guochang to strip naked, run in circles on the snow, and beat him with branches. During an illegal body search, he was robbed of 600 yuan. Later, Li Guochang was illegally detained in the Dingzhou Detention Center, and then illegally detained in the Baoding Mancheng Labor Camp.

In order to force Li Guochang to give up his belief in truthfulness, benevolence, and forbearance, the labor camp did not allow Li Guochang to eat or sleep. Only when Li Guochang was persecuted until seriously ill, did the police notified his family to bring him home. On November 15, 2002, Li Guochang passed away due to the persecution.

2. Jia Wencheng, male, 65 years old at the time, from Dingzhan Village, Dingdian Town, Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, once served as deputy secretary of Liuchun Township, Dingzhou City. Jia Wencheng was originally a cadre in the air force but was discharged from the army due to high blood pressure. In the autumn of 1997, Jia Wencheng began to practice Falun Gong, and his illnesses such as high blood pressure and diabetes were quickly healed.

In October 2000, Jia Wencheng was kidnapped by the Dingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Dingdadian Police Station, along with his wife, Su Qingguo, and his second daughter-in-law, Song Suping. After being kidnapped and taken to the Public Security Bureau, the three were illegally detained in solitary confinement.

In order to ask about the source of the truth, Jia Wencheng was severely beaten and forced to confess by Wang Huiqing, head of the first section, and Yang Fuchang, director of the Dingdadian Police Station. Su Qingguo and Song Suping were illegally detained in the Dingzhou City Detention Center, and after being extorted 10,000 yuan by Xiao Fudi, they returned home. Jia Wencheng was illegally detained at the Dingzhou City Detention Center on the same day.

A month later, Jia Wencheng was tortured to the point that he vomited after eating. He became skinny, had memory loss, and his life was in danger. Later, Jia Wencheng was illegally re-educated through labor for one year and illegally dismissed from public office. When Jia Wencheng was released on medical parole from the detention center, he could not eat or walk. The hospital diagnosed him with heart disease, high blood pressure, phlebitis, and diabetes — all the illnesses he had before cultivating Falun Dafa. The hospital could not treat him, so they let his family bring him back.

In 2001, 610 personnel at Dingdian Town forced Jia Wencheng was forced to participate in a brainwashing class run by the Chinese Communist Party School of Dingzhou City. Jia Wencheng fainted while walking to the Chinese Communist Party School. When he arrived at the school, Jia Wencheng’s face was sallow. He was covered in sweat, and he could not walk.

Zhou Jun, a member of the “610” in Dingdian Town, and others went to Jia Wencheng’s house every few days to harass him, and even sent people to his neighbor’s house to spy on him. Jia Wencheng passed away unjustly in January of 2006 due to tremendous physical and mental pressure.
