[Peter Osuský, Slovak MP]:

“This is something unthinkable in the normal world. If this is happening with the government’s consent, with innocent people, then you could compare it to the worst apocalypse of WWII.”

Czech Members of Parliament express shock after viewing a documentary about Chinese prisoners of conscience being killed for their organs.
[Stanislav Polcak, Czech MP]:
“In one word terrifying. And gruesome. I didn’t expect this to be possible in the 21st century in a country which strives to be a member of the international community.”
The Chinese regime and its institutions face accusations of involvement in illegal organ harvesting from living prisoners of conscience.
According to an independent investigation by former Canadian politician David Kilgour and human rights activist David Matas, these accusations are true.
The results of their investigation have been made into a documentary called “KILLED FOR ORGANS: China’s Secret State Transplant Business”.
[Dr. Jiri Stetina, Czech MP]:
“Seeing this film I thought this is actually organized murder, a
genocide you can say.”
The documentary presents evidence that prisoners of conscience are being subjected to forced organ harvesting in China. And the vast majority of victims are adherents of the Falun Gong spiritual practice.
The spiritual discipline was outlawed in 1999 because the Chinese Communist Party feared its vast popularity, and the campaign of repression continues to this day.
[Michal Babak, Czech MP]:
“Of course the impression, especially from here in Central Europe, is horrible. However, China’s size and the fact that the government is involved…I personally worry it may be very, very difficult to do anything about it.”
One piece of circumstantial evidence cited in the documentary is the fact that Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in labor camps are frequently subjected to blood and urine tests and are checked for the liver function although regularly tortured by the guards and police.
Another is that over 40,000 transplants, with no identified source, were performed in China in the years 2000-2005.
[Peter Osuský, Slovak MP]:
“This is something unthinkable in the normal world. If this is happening with the government’s consent, with innocent people, then you could compare it to the worst apocalypse of WWII.”
