Marxism completely denies traditional culture
When passing divine culture to mankind, gods did not do it without reason. Demonstrating their compassion, they did so to enable mankind to live and work in peace and contentment and to guide mankind to live as decent human beings.
It seems the reasons are more than these, however, reflecting both the yin and the yang of the issue, both the left and the right, the negative and the positive.
During the process of human cultural development, some undesirable elements found their way into the process. This is only natural. The whole reflects both good and bad, beautiful and ugly. All must be represented to comprise the whole. Similarly there are people who believe in gods, and there are those who don’t. To a certain extent, those who disbelieve in gods help to identify whether the others truly believe. The theory of mutual generation and mutual inhibition manifests in every aspect of our lives.
In the history of human civilization, the further back in history, the stronger people’s belief in gods; the more recent, the weaker.
Why is this?
I feel it is because human civilization goes in cycles. For example, people in very remote ages demonstrated a purity more closely matching the universe’s characteristics, whereas for today’s people, due to social development and the barriers of various notions that they have accumulated life after life, much of their original human nature has been buried, and the baseline of their belief in gods has trended lower and lower.
At a deeper level, while the gods passed their culture on to mankind, teaching mankind with benevolence, another force, a contrary force, a force of evil in the universe made its appearance in the human world. This is why when righteous ways and orthodox religions are being spread around the world, there are bound to be evil ways and evil religions interfering at the same time. Of course, the evil things often deceive people, hiding beneath a disguise of goodness. In the world of spiritual cultivation practices, the ability to distinguish between the two, between the truly good and the evil falsely disguised as good, is referred to as one’s “enlightenment quality”.
Ancient books tell the story that when Buddha Sakyamuni walked the Earth, a demon king once said to him, “I’m not able to mess up the path you are teaching now, but in the Dharma ending period, I will ask my disciples and grand disciples to become monks in temples. Let’s see what you can do then.”
Human civilization now embraces the era of science and technology, and mankind’s belief in gods has significantly declined. Belief in science has largely replaced belief in gods. This was planned by the dark forces, those under the influence of the demon king, to cause belief in science to usurp mankind’s belief in gods. Science may appear good on the surface, and countless people have been convinced that the so-called “scientific method” is the only thing to believe. Below the surface, however, how can something that has taken away people’s belief in the gods be good?
a) Atheism betrays divine culture
Humans were created by gods. This belief is commonly shared by all orthodox religions around the world. All cultures share this common foundation – a belief in divinity. To destroy this crucial foundation, the demonic forces needed to produce the humans they needed in this world. Marx was the most important choice. In order for Marx’s theories to be able to convince people, Darwin, another betrayer of humanity, appeared ahead of Marx to propose his theory of evolution. His wild and often extreme hypothesis not only confused intellectuals, but dealt a destructive blow that would later be felt by all in human society.
It all appeared to be natural and unintentional, but their theories infiltrated and poisoned the human mind. Although Darwin’s theory was only a hypothesis, it served as the cornerstone for a series of fallacies created by Marx. Atheism depends on the theory of evolution, without which Marxist theories would never have been able to persuade people to give up their belief in divinity no matter how hard he tried. Marx and Darwin worked hand in hand, exactly according to plan.
Atheism has brought about enormous destruction to the world, and has to a large extent destroyed people’s beliefs in divinity. When people stop believing in gods, they also give up codes of ethical and moral conduct; standards established for mankind by divine beings. The law of the jungle that Darwin put forward for “natural selection and survival of the fittest” found its way into human society, leading mankind to act like animals. Huge changes consequently arose in human nature, social norms and religious teachings, leading to conflicts between ethnic groups and nations, international conflicts, and so on. The relatively peaceful world thus entered a time of unprecedented upheaval and disturbance.
The contents of the culture passed to mankind by gods enriches human life, and inspires human beings to rise above themselves, to exit the cycle of reincarnation and return to their true origins in heavenly paradises. The scriptures told people that true paradise is not to be found in the secular world; that human beings can only return to a heavenly paradise by following the paths set forth for them by the gods.
Atheism has severed the natural link between humans and gods. The human qualities of modesty, kindness and honesty have gradually diminished; instead, warped notions such as arrogance, deceit, and greed have slowly taken root and grown stronger in people’s minds.
b) The Marxist theory of contradiction requires the denial of traditional, divinely-imparted culture
The scriptures of orthodox religions are, for the most part, truthful records of the words and actions of the enlightened saints and prophets, as set down by their disciples. The prophets brought us wisdom and left us with an orthodox way of life. This is not easy to destroy. The evil force in the universe chose Marx because he had a rebellious nature. Marx himself was not an enlightened prophet, so he set out to deny prophets and divinity. The theory of evolution helped him to accomplish this mission. Still, it was not enough for him to establish his own set of theories simply by denying divinity, so he also borrowed the “idealism” from Hegel’s teachings. This is how Marxist philosophy came into being.
The culture passed down to mankind by gods was for mankind’s benefit, not for mankind to use to sabotage orthodox culture. Prophets in the human world share some similar wisdom, but human beings do not have such wisdom. Hegel’s theories contain “idealism” and therefore has something in common with the Chinese Yin-Yang theory. Marx borrowed from Hegel’s theories, but he explained them in his own way to suit his own interests. Marx analyzed many issues, such as history, society, politics and economics in his own way and made various predictions.
The Marxist world view, often referred to as dialectical materialism, usurped some of the contents of divine culture, and to that extent, it may have a certain value and function. However, because Marxism severed the link with divinity, it has become a kind of arbitrary means, and falls far short of explaining the true nature of things.
The Yin-Yang theory can explain all things in the universe and the interrelationships between them. For example, it can easily explain the relationship between sun and moon, heaven and earth, men and women, internal and external, and so on and so forth. However, Marxism’s dialectical materialism and its theory of contradiction, cannot do so.
Take the concept of family for example. From the Yin-Yang perspective, with the male being strong and the female soft, they complement each other, thus achieving a natural harmony. Try explaining that from Marx’s theory of contradiction. It would only be judging a thing in its own context – talking about the main factor and the less important factor, the main contradiction and the less important contradiction. In fact, the characteristics of men and women are in common with those in Mother Nature. A Yin and a Yang make the Dao (the Way); truly created by heaven and earth. In today’s world, the divorce rates in China are increasing yearly. One cannot say that it has nothing to do with the poison of the Communist Party Culture. It all results from the destruction of traditional culture.
The theory of contradiction, being rigid and narrow, is grossly inadequate when it comes to explaining the natural relations of things. Although Marxists boast that the theory of contradiction is the highest science of methods, if we use Marxist theory to guide research in Chinese medicine, it would only rigidly and partially cut it apart. It cannot explain the essence of Chinese medicine whatsoever.
Yin and Yang are inter-dependent; Yin cannot exist without Yang and vice versa. They are complementary to each other and aim to achieve a harmony of Yin and Yang. Lao Tse said, “Everything carries Yin and embraces Yang, thus achieving harmony.” Chinese medicine advocates balanced Yin and Yang to maintain good health. Therefore, the theory of Yin and Yang is tolerant and at the same time it regulates itself. However the theory of contradiction goes the opposite direction. It is conservative and lacks self-regulation. Although the contradiction theory also talks about unity of opposites, it in fact treats unity as a form and the opposites as substance and focuses on the struggle of the contradictions, which lays a foundation for the contradiction theory to deny the “old world” and to establish a “new world.”
In Chinese traditional culture, there was no such term as “philosophy;” instead, there was “metaphysics”. Mysterious and more mysterious, a gate to all mysteries. Cultivators, when in meditation, or when their thoughts are close to being in a “tranquil” state of wisdom, have a grasp of the whole universe, life, time and space: everything is so meticulous, so peaceful and harmonizing. Endless wonders of the universe, time space and life appear to them as they elevate their levels of cultivation.
Could Marx achieve this? No, let alone his followers. Did he understand the natural Way that “the man reflects the earth, the earth reflects Heaven, Heaven reflects the Way. And the Way reflects its own nature”? Can the theory of contradiction explain Chinese medicine? Nor can the theory of contradiction explain the “Heart Sutra,” “Diamond Sutra” and “Tripitaka” in Buddhism (Buddhist scriptures). So, what did Marxism, and Communism, need to do? They needed to deny all of these things that their theories could not explain. Thus materialism was included, and Marxist dialectical materialism became an evil theory contrived to justify itself.
c) Historical materialism has turned history upside down and poisoned mankind
When the history of a nation is distorted; doesn’t this indicate that the nation’s root has been severed?
The development of history follows its own course; it is not decided by man. Man is not capable of charting the course of history. The development of history is arranged step by step by gods. In Chinese history, it was not the emperor himself who decided to call him the “son of heaven,” and it was not simply a cultural phenomenon, either. To a large extent it was the will of gods.
In the history of mankind, war has been inevitable. War came about due to the good things and the evil things that mankind was doing, and also because of the bad things that mankind had accumulated lifetime over lifetime that could not be cleared away without experiencing tribulation. War is an integral part of human culture. Of course there is a difference between just wars and unjust wars. War can also facilitate a chance for a country, a nation and a dynasty to change. As for war and peace, war is relatively short, and people long for peace instead of chaos. Long-term stability is a common desire for all from the top to the grassroots. In traditional cultures, emperors or kings who wantonly engaged in military ventures were never popular with the people and it was also impossible to make fundamental historical changes under such circumstances. However, Marx found a short-cut for the warped development of history with his fragmented theories, and laid a theoretical foundation for the distortion of history, which thus brought unpredictable disasters to all mankind.
Historical materialism, as it came to be known, resulted from the application of Marxist theories of atheism and dialectical materialism. It led to Marx’s own unique explanation of the process of human history. It wasn’t all consistent with historical facts, however. For example, the slave society his theories described cannot be found in China’s history, which extends back over 5000 years. His definition of feudal society didn’t suit the status of society in China at the time. The relationship between peasants and the landlords was not the one between the exploited and the exploiters, but the one between the employees and the employers. It was an inevitable product in social development, and a natural and reasonable one as well. The relationship between them was mutual. People who did not own land rented it from the landlords. When they had accumulated certain wealth, they purchased land. This is reasonable and legitimate. Children from poor families had equal opportunities to obtain official positions through their hard work and efforts. Society as a whole was operating smoothly. Although it moved in circles, to a certain extent the status of society had stability and continuity. That was how society existed.
However, because the classes defined by the theory of contradiction are contradictory to each other, they are to a large extent intolerant of each other, like water and fire. Thus, under Communism, class struggles became the fundamental drive for social development. Led by such an ideology, the so-called proletariat became the grave diggers of the propertied class. Marx’s so-called “communist utopia” was born. It all sounded wonderful; it all sounded idealistic and good. But fundamentally, the theories are tragically flawed.
Nevertheless, the wave of Marxist thinking spread. Hatred was sewn in the hearts of the people in the nations consumed by Marxism. A storm of communist “proletarian revolution” began to sweep the globe, and the socialist camp abruptly appeared on the world scene.
