How Free Are Christians in China

While Christians and many non-Christians around the world celebrate Christmas today, in China, it’s not always a happy holiday.
According to an official government survey, more than 20 million Chinese Christians belong to the “Three-Self Patriotic Movement,” a state-run church where the highest authority is a Communist Party member. But there are also tens of millions of Christians belonging to house churches. Outside of Party control, they can worship as they wish, but they also face potential danger.
To talk about Christians in China today—and how much freedom they really have—is Bob Fu, founder and president of the China Aid Association, a non-profit Christian human rights organization based in Texas, USA.
