Former high-flying Chongqing Party Secretary Bo Xilai was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party on Friday, and he’ll face a criminal trial as well.
Bo’s fate has been raised many times on China Focus and China News since February. We had predicted it before, but now it’s clear–he’s being taken down, hard. It’s a big win for his political opponents, but it could also have significant and dangerous long-term fallout for the Communist Party.
