The CCP Trembles: More Than One Hundred Congressmen Co-sign a Letter
On October 4, 106 members of the US Congress sent a petition
to the U.S. Department of State requesting it to announce
all information regarding organ harvesting from living
Falun Gong practitioners.
The letter also states that if the United States obtains evidence,
it should take measures to stop such crimes.
The letter originated from the senior members of both
the Democratic and Republican Parties of Congress
and was co-signed by 106 members of Congress.
This letter was sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The letter stated, “A Chinese doctor, Wang Guoqi, provided
testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2001.
Wang expressed that he was involved in organ harvesting
of executed prisoners.
Since then, more allegations have surfaced.
On September 12, 2012, the U.S. Congress held hearings
on “Communist China harvesting organs of living religious
and political dissidents, and pointed out that hospitals
and doctors harvested organs from Chinese prisoners,
including from Falun Gong practitioners, Uighurs, Tibetans,
and the family of Christ Church.
The letter also said, “We are asking the U.S. State Department
to publish all the information that may have been obtained on
China’s evil organ transplants, including information provided
by Wang Lijun to the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu.
If the United States has received evidence, measures should
be taken to put an end to these abominable organ transplants.”
Current events commentator Lin Zaixu: “The crimes
of harvesting organs of living Falun Gong practitioners is the Achilles’ heel for the CCP.
The jointly signed letter by the congressmen in the US may
form an open environment for discussion of live organ harvesting worldwide.
The CCP’s crimes of harvesting organs from living
Falun Gong practitioners would be exposed.
As a result, the CCP can no longer exist and it will soon
be condemned and put on trial.
Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas and former
Canadian Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour had co-authored an investigation report.
They stated that from 2000 to 2005, there were 60,000 organ
transplants in China, of which, the origin of 41,500 organs cannot be explained.
The report also said that there are 52 ways to prove that organs
were harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners in China being used in transplants.
Fang Siyi, Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin: “In the middle
of the night, I was pushed to the operating room.
At that time, I wanted to live so much that I screamed,
‘I am a Falun Gong practitioner.
I was persecuted by the 610 Office, 465 troops and the
Security Bureau. All of you, come to watch this!
Thus, all patients’ relatives from both sides of
the hospital came out.’”
On May 24, 2012, the U.S. State Department released
the “2011 Annual Report on Human Rights” and
the first mentioned was organ harvesting of
Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China.
On July 25, the U.S. State Department Assistant Secretary
of State, Michael Posner, said in answering a reporter’s question regarding Wang Lijun,
that the United States has large amounts of
organ harvesting information from the embassy.
Chinese American doctor Wang Wenyi: “Under Bo Xilai’s
rule, the most shocking was when he was the governor of Liaoning,
and the Su Jiatun incident occurred—persecuting
Falun Gong practitioners first and then harvesting their organs alive.
Since the judicial branch knew Bo’s human extinction policy,
they all rested assured to harvest organs from live human beings.”
“Health and Life” magazine editor Wang Wenyi
points out that
the world’s largest international transplant network
and several major sites in Shenyang mark the prices of organs for overseas sale.
Corneas are two for $3,000, kidneys are $120,000,
and hearts $180,000.
In addition, on September 18, Washington Times published
an article entitled Illegal Organ Harvesting in China, written by Congressman Chris Smith.
He wrote in the article, “This horrific act recognized
by a government is beyond human endurance.
It challenges the limit of all language.
Words, such as “barbaric and brutal,” pale in comparison.
This terror is beyond description.
The Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Department of State
2201 C Street NW
Washington, D.C. 20520
Dear Madame Secretary:
Organ transplantation is one of the greatest advancements in modern medicine. When performed in accordance with ethical standards, it is a procedure that can and has saved thousands of lives. Despite the many achievements in the field of transplant medicine, its success is dependent upon the availability of compatible organs. Far too often, the demand for organs is greater than the availability. In some countries, it is alleged that this demand has led to the development of an organ black market. Medical doctors in the United States and around the world are growing increasingly concerned about alleged unethical organ procurement practices and abuses of transplant medicine abroad. This is no truer than in China, where serious allegations suggest unimaginable abuses have occurred.
Dr. Wang Guoqi, a Chinese physician, in 2001 testified to the US House of Representatives’ International Relations Subcommittee on International Operations and Human Rights about his involvement in harvesting of organs from executed prisoners in China. Since then, other allegations have been brought, including recent testimony given at the September 12, 2012 hearing, “Organ Harvesting of Religious and Political Dissidents by the Chinese Communist Party,” implicating Chinese hospitals and doctors in the practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners, to allegedly include from living practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual movement, Uighurs, Tibetans and House Christians.
In February, Wang Lijun, the Deputy Mayor of Chongqing overseeing public security, spent over 24-hours at the US Consulate in Chengdu. It is claimed by some that Wang Lijun may have been personally involved in these horrific organ harvesting practices on living prisoners in China. While at the US Consulate, it is claimed that Wang Lijun may have divulged information about the harvesting of organs from still living Falun Gong practitioners. If such evidence was received and brought to light, measures could be taken to help stop such abominable abuses.
We therefore ask that the State Department release any information it may have that relates to transplant abuses in China, including any documentation that Wang Lijun may have provided to our Consulate in Chengdu.
Sincerely,
Adrienne C. Izzo
